About this property
WAGTAILS, pet friendly, country holiday cottage in Sandsend
Wagtails rests in Sandsend, North Yorkshire and sleeps eight guests in four bedrooms.
Wagtails includes four bedrooms, two doubles, a second-floor double and a second-floor family room with bunk beds and double trundle bed. There is also a shower room and a second-floor family bathroom as well as a kitchen with an electric oven and hob, microwave and fridge/freezer, dining room, sitting room, sun room, a boot room and a cloakroom/WC. Outside, there is parking for two cars and a patio area to the rear with patio furniture. Sorry, no pets and no smoking. A shop is within two miles and there is a pub within 0.2 miles. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. A stay at Wagtails promises a fun-filled family adventure.
Amenities: Central heating. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washer and dryer. Smart TV, WiFi. Fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Parking spaces for 2 cars. Outside, there is a patio area to the rear with patio furniture. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Sorry no smoking. One medium well behaved dog welcome. Shop 0.2 miles, pub 0.1 miles
Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.
Town: Lying on Yorkshire's spectacular Heritage Coastline, Sandsend is the ideal place for a family holiday with its award winning, wide sweeping beaches, rock pools and dramatic cliffs. Indeed this part of the coastline is known locally as the Dinosaur Coast because of the many fossils found here. Children will enjoy damming the little beck where it crosses the beach to form a freshwater lagoon - great (and safe) for paddling and boating! For the more energetic the village sits on the lovely long distance Cleveland Way Trail, which offers great off-road cycling along the disused coastal railway as well as breathtaking clifftop walks. The National Trust now own the nearby headland, Sandsend Ness, where there is a delightful nature trail in the old quarry pits. A special place offering something for everyone!
