About this property

Your group can find tranquility and comfort in our recently constructed, two-story log cabin located in the heart of the High Country. The Holston Meadows Cabin is fully furnished, with 7 roomy bedrooms each with queen-size beds. 3 downstairs bedrooms have private baths with tiled showers (one bedroom and bath handicapped accessible).4 bedrooms upstairs share 2 baths (Jack and Jill). You can feed your whole group in our modern kitchen with a granite breakfast bar, and adjoining dining area that seats 25. The downstairs living space with a "Smart" TV has a cozy gas fireplace to warm you on cool nights or mornings. Upstairs there is an additional meeting space complete with a game table, a "Smart" TV, and futon couches. Of course, we provide Wi-Fi. Relax on our private covered deck viewing a forest. Look out for turkey and deer. Open field area for football, frisbee, volleyball, or badminton. You'll need your own charcoal, but enjoy burgers or steaks on our grill. Parking is plentiful. A washer and dryer are available.

The Holston Meadows Cabin is truly a place for all seasons. Skiers love being close to the slopes. Summer guests love the cool mountain air. Have you driven the Blue Ridge Parkway or mountain back roads to view the Fall colors? Amazing!

Located only minutes from Banner Elk, where guests enjoy fine dining, a brewery, a winery, shopping, Lees-McRae College, and nightlife entertainment. Skiers will find us convenient to Sugar and Beech Mountain slopes. White water rafting, gem mining, Blue Ridge Parkway, Grandfather Mountain, Appalachian Trail, and caving, are all within a short drive. Appalachian State University is only 20 miles away in Boone, NC.

Annual Family Vacation

Excellent property for a large family. Seven bedrooms allowed each one of our five children to have a bedroom for them and their spouse and family. The loft upstairs can accommodate six children comfortably and it’s in the middle of four bedrooms so the children are close to their parents. The cabin is well stocked with plenty of dishes, towels, etc. it has a very large spacious kitchen with plenty of seating for a large group. Best property we have stayed in for a family our size.

Paradise in the Mountain!!!!

Surpassed our expectations. Our children, grand children and us had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the fact that the property was very clean and provided everything except tooth brush, ha ha ha. Looking out the window and seeing deer just outside the porch, ample place for the children to play outside, great family rooms where we played games, the sleeping quarters were very nice. So much that we can say about our experience but is one of those things that you have to experience for yourself.highly recommended and we will probably repeat. Thank you

Family Trip

We really enjoyed our stay, my husband and Irented this house for our kids and grandkids for a week end get away. The house is very nice, clean, well managed, well stocked. It is a great property for a large family getaway.

Great for Group

The house was neat as a pin and well appointed for our family. We were in town for a wedding. Everyone enjoyed the rocking chairs on the porch. The kitchen area was a gathering place to talk and visit. We couldn't have asked for a more perfect house or experience. Thanks so much!

Great Place to host a retreat

Beautiful cabin, worked great as a home base for riding motorcycles in the mountains.

Super clean, great hot water, Verizon worked decent on 4G outside, Wifi on site was pretty decent too, no issues with netflix streaming. We did see a bear in the yard one evening, don't keep food in your car.

WONDERFUL!!!

Our group of 25 had the most wonderful stay here at this cabin. We can't emphasize enough that for a big group, this cabin is great! Mitchell was super helpful and kind. We're grateful to have stayed here and retreat and rest in the Blue Ridge.

Family time

Church Youth Group Ski Retreat

We had 23 people in our group. I've been working with our Youth Group for 15 years, staying at all kinds of houses, and this was the best house every. Bedrooms, bathrooms, fellowship area, and kitchen were perfect. I will definitely be returning to this house in the future :)

Home away from home

This is our fourth autumn of a family reunion in this wonderful cabin. It was so perfect the first year that we have come back every year since, and it has come to feel like “Grandma’s house” for our family—a place where we share laughter a memories that can never be replaced. Banner Elk Cabin

We had five couples traveling in our group. We needed bedrooms with private baths, a large gathering area, and a large kitchen/dining area. This house delivered on all accounts. Beautiful home and well maintained. The road to the cabin is a little twisty but after a couple of times of driving it all was good. If you are golfing we played at Mountain Glen Golf Course. Excellent course

Youth group ski trip

Our church's high school youth stayed here for 2 nights and skied Sugar Mountain this weekend. The house was perfect! The owners thought of everything. Maybe the first rental I've stayed in that actually has plenty of space and seating to match the listed capacity. Fully stocked kitchen with 2 dishwashers to make it easy for our large group. Columbus Regional Getaway

There were 10 adults in our group with 4 couples. This house provided everyone their own space. When we were together as a group there was plenty of space. The porch was one of our favorite spots. In the kitchen around the Island was the other. The peace and quiet it offered was fantastic. We enjoyed our stay and would return without reservation. Thank you for allowing us to share your home.

Amazing but…

This was an amazing property and fitted our needs perfectly with the exception of the water pressure and temps. Water pressure especially upstairs was NOT good if others were simultaneously showering. In addition, water temps were erratic. The temps vacillated between cool to scalding. We would hope/wish for the property to correct this issue as we would like to return annually. Everything else was nothing short of fantastic.

The Holston Meadows Cabin welcomes families, church groups, social clubs, weddings, reunions, etc. The cabin was designed to accommodate large groups. It is situated on a private lot surrounded by woods only 1.4 miles from Holston Presbytery Camp and Retreat Center. It is the only cabin on the six-acre lot. This property is an outreach of the Holston Presbytery with the purpose of offering all God's people a unique indoor and outdoor setting to seek God's grace and love through relationships with one another.
