About this property
Dingley Cottage - Two Bedroom House, Sleeps 3
This Bijou stone cottage is ideally situated in a peaceful location on the edge of Porkellis, between Falmouth and Porthleven, featuring a traditional granite façade. It's perfectly positioned for exploring the Lizard Peninsula and West Cornwall and has the added benefit of being just 0.4 miles walk away from a traditional, dog friendly, village pub. Visit Falmouth, only 5 miles away, with its charming mix of independent shops, eateries and cultural events such as the Sea Shanty Festival in June, Falmouth Week in August and the Oyster Festival in October. Explore Falmouth's coastline with spectacular beaches offering a range of water sports and beach activities. Head to Porthleven, a traditional and pretty fishing village, with a great atmosphere for lunch or dinner. From there, join the coastal path to reach the popular destinations of Gunwalloe Cove to the West and Poldhu to the East. The lizard Peninsular offers a breathtaking and dramatic coastline and beautiful beaches at Kynance Cove, Poldhu Cove and Mullion Cove with plenty of great view points along the coastal path.
Enter the cottage into the well-equipped kitchen/diner, perfect for making a lazy holiday breakfast or a full family meal if the mood strikes. A few steps up from the kitchen is the sitting room, which includes a TV, digital box, and DVD player where you can relax on a comfy sofa after a day out exploring West Cornwall. Adjacent to the sitting room, at the back of the cottage, is the double bedroom with a small en-suite shower room which receives natural light from the sitting room. Above the kitchen is a single bedroom, accessible via open wooden stairs. A stair gate can be fitted at the top, and a cot is available if needed, making this a great space for a small family, or a couple who would like some additional space.
Outside, you will find a sheltered patio/garden with pot plants, a table and chairs, and a BBQ, perfect for outdoor dining and relaxation.
