If you’re looking for an affordable holiday home with parking within walking distance of the seaside at picturesque Southwold this well-loved family cottage will be ideal. Interiors are spacious and simply furnished (think 3*) with a sociable open-plan ground floor, double and twin bedrooms on the first floor with a bathroom, and a shower room on the ground floor. For an extra treat and ultimate in convenience you can book the owner's iconic beach hut for the duration of your stay.
GROUND FLOOR
The front door opens into a porch leading into the open plan living/kitchen/dining room of Chestnutt Cottage (yes, double T as it's the owner's name as opposed to the tree!). Hard flooring runs through the ground floor there’s a back door from the conservatory into the garden and space on the porch for coats.
LIVING/DINING ROOM
A sociable space for family holidays and short breaks, furnished with a couple of chairs, a sofabed (you’re welcome to use it with your own linen for one of four guests), a coffee table, and well-stacked shelves so you can enjoy books, puzzles or books provided; step back in time and watch a video from the selection; bring your own DVDs to watch; catch up on favourite TV shows; or play your music on the CD player.
There’s a table and chairs for meals at home at the kitchen side of the room (and takeaways within walking distance if you don’t feel like cooking!).
Wooden stairs with a handrail rise to the first floor.
KITCHEN
An arch and hatch space gives an open-plan feel to this kitchen which is equipped with the basics needed for catering at home – an electric oven and four-ring hob, a toaster, a kettle, an under-counter fridge with an ice compartment, and a washing machine.
CONSERVATORY
A lovely sunny spot to sit at any time of the year with a door into the garden and a path to take you around the back to the parking area, convenient for cyclists to wheel bikes to store safely in the garden. The conservatory is simply furnished with a couple of chairs, a drop leave table, and space for your footwear, pushchairs etc.

The shower area has a hand-held shower on an adjustable pole and a shower curtain; there’s a wash basin, WC, towel rail over the radiator (towels are provided) and a window giving natural light.
FIRST FLOOR
Wide-painted stairs with a handrail rise to the first-floor landing where you’ll find both bedrooms and the family bathroom.
