About this property
1800's Crofting Cottage between the Cairngorm mountains and local sandy beaches
Nestled between the Cairngorms National Park and the sandy east shores of Scotland lies The Cottage, part of a quirky and unique 1800's crofting house situated in the conservation village of Auchenblae, just 2 miles from Drumtochty Castle.
The Cottage is a fun and functional rural village retreat, great for weddings, cycling breaks, walking holidays, golf getaways or just a stop over to explore some of Scotland's hidden gems.
Cycling a stage of The Tour of Britain, gravel ride to Aboyne or cross country and enduro mountain bike some of the most enjoyable natural and techy trails Scotland has to offer, all be accessed right from the front door of The Cottage. If walking is your vice, stunning walking routes can be accessed from the front door, with local parks for relaxing dog walks, picnics or a game of summer tennis. A well kept 9 hole golf course sits on the outskirts of the village while local whiskey distilleries, beaches, and Cairngorm mountains can be accessed within a short drive.
For convenience there is a local shop in the village and if eating out there are cafes, pubs and restaurants in Fettercairn, Edzell and Stonehaven all within a 10-20 minute drive.
The property has a king size bed, fully equipped kitchen/diner/lounge and a modern fully tiled shower room. There's underfloor heating throughout and to top it off furry friends are welcome.
