We purchased this home in August of 2017 and have updated both bedrooms, the bathroom, the kitchen, and living room! It looks great and is ideal for 2 couples or a family. Amazing find in the heart of Frankenmuth!

This property had everything we needed for our family vacation: comfortable beds, cozy lounging spots, central location (3 minutes to most everything, and 6 to 10 minutes to everything else), off the main street, and plenty of entertainment options to keep the family engaged during downtime. They even had coloring books, crayons, markers, and colored pencils, which was a huge hit with our 8, 6, and 4 year old. Would definitely recommend to others, and would likely stay again if we're back in this area!!

Best Christmas Ever!

We wanted a white Christmas this year and chose Viola's Place for our holiday. Boy are we glad we did! Shelly and Derek are the most gracious and helpful hosts! From Derek shoveling snow in the early morning hours, to Shelly's recommendations for restaurants and church services, they helped make our Christmas absolutely magical! Viola's Place was clean, well stocked with everything we needed, and beautifully decorated for the holidays. My 16-year-old daughter especially loved the air hockey table in the basement -- it got lots of use during our stay. The home is in a great location, in walking distance to Main Street, but still feels quiet and private. Best of all, we had Shelly and Derek right next door. We absolutely loved our vacation and we're already talking about our next trip to Viola's Place!

Fantastic Guest Home

Viola’s Place was truly a home away from home. Every possible Traveler’s need was taken care of. Comfortable beds and bedding, large screen TV with multiple offerings, fully equipped kitchen with both Mr. Coffee and a Keurig and coffee, tea, creamer and sugar provided…the home was also beautifully decorated for fall.

Perfect spot to explore Frankenmuth, michigan

This was a girls trip to Frankenmuth. 3 of us went and the house was perfect for us to spread out. The propane firepit on the small patio was a perfect end to our day! We met the hosts and they were wonderful!!! Had a couple lights out and within a few minutes had them changed. We all will definitely stay there again when we go back! Thank you so much for providing a wonderful place for us to stay

This was the first time in Frankenmuth and we had a great time. Viola's place did not disappoint. The house was clean and close to town. The owner Shelly was very nice and answered all our questions. We defiantly will come back

Frankenmuth Gem

The minute you walk in you feel comfortable and right at home. This is by far my favorite VRBO. Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The pictures dont do it justice. Shelly knew that we were there for my husband's birthday and mini getaway...when we arrived, there was a birthday balloon and cake. Not expected, but truly appreciated. If you need a home away from home...this is the place.

Perfect getaway

Perfect little house for a family. Kids loved all the game and toys in the basement especially the air hockey table. Big back yard for the kids to run around and play. Great location with short drives anywhere you want to go.

Rental was amazing! Very clean, nicely decorated, and had everything and anything we could have needed. Only about 3 blocks from Main St and all the Feankenmuth shoppes. We will definitely stay again!

Super clean. All furniture very comfy. I love showers. You don’t understand. You may think you love showers, but I LOVE showers. It’s an older home/bathroom so you have to expect some compromises. The shower head was at about 5’7”. I’m 5’7”, so I didn’t mind, but if you’re a 6’ tall guy you may have some issues. BUT, the water had a crisp clean smell, yes water smells. Some good. Some not so good. And the water pressure, FANTASTIC! It could blow the paint job off a ‘57 Chevy. Loved it. When I’m going back to Frankenmuth, this is the only place I’ll stay!!!!

Mother's Day Weekend

Your home away from home. You need nothing but your clothes and food. You do not need a lot of food as there are a lot of great restaurants. Make sure to bring walking shoes for shopping. What made it extra special was we were able to sit outside and see the Aurora borealis. Thank you for sharing your beautiful house with our family.

Cute House in Frankenmuth

The house is really cute on the outside and the inside. Shelly was great and answered any questions I had without delay. She even had a treat from Zehnder's waiting for me when I arrived. Nice neighborhood too. I went for a walk by myself and felt very safe. The shower head in the main bathroom is a little low, but there is a shower in the basement as well. The water temperature and water pressure were great. I would definitely recommend this property and hope to stay there again next time I am in the area.

Viola’s Place

The is was my first time using VRBO and I couldn’t be happier. This beautiful home was equipped with ANYTHING and EVERYTHING I could have possibly needed. Clean, comfortable and bright…it is minutes from all of the stores and the Bavarian Inn which is where our event was. We were so comfy, we didn’t want to leave! Great home and a great stay!

Anniversary Getaway

We live in the home next to this rental. My husband and I take pride in making it look great and we want our guests 100% satisfied with their stay in own town and in Viola's Place! We will go the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with everything.

Why they chose this property

Our neighbor of 20 years (Viola) moved out in July of 2017 and we purchased this home with the idea of making it a vacation rental in our town. There is always something going on in Frankenmuth and people who want something different than a hotel, who want a place of their own, within walking distance of places in town, with great comfort and at a great price need look no further!

What makes this property unique

The main floor is all new. New flooring, new appliances, new stocked kitchen, beautiful furnishings, and in a great quiet location. New patio off the back of the house with a propane fire pit and patio chairs mid-June 2018. Another side perk is that you can use the one car garage for your vehicle when you stay with us. You can see Main St. from this home and it is in walking distance of all the major events in town. Viola's Place is perfect for a family of 4-6 or those in town for a wedding weekend!
