About this property
St Mary's Barn - sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
St Mary's Barn forms part of a small select development of eight properties that have been newly built, using the original stone from the former agricultural buildings, enabling it to merge and harmonise sympathetically with the surroundings. Sitting within the popular Dorset town of Stalbridge, which is reputed to be the county's smallest town, steeped in history, and dating back to Saxon times with a 15th Century Church and Market Cross, and surrounded by stunning countryside. The town has a variety of shops which cater well for everyday needs with an award-winning supermarket, family run butchers, village pub and a variety of takeaway shops.
Your bright and spacious holiday home sits over three floors, and on arrival you will step into a small hall, off which you will find the first of three exceptional bedrooms, a large king-size bedroom with en-suite shower room. Three steps down leads you to the twin bedroom, another large room, which has its own shower room also. The main staircase leads you up to the first-floor where you will find the generous second king-size bedroom with its en-suite bathroom, and dressing area. Continue up to the fabulous day space which includes a large family kitchen with breakfast table and chairs, and all the appliances and equipment you could need for cooking delicious meals and snacks.
The final stairs lead you up to the impressive and open mezzanine-style area, where you have the formal dining area with its views over the rooftops to the Blackmore Vale beyond. Open the sliding doors so that you can relax at the dining table with a glass of wine enjoying the unique views over the Juliet balcony. A unique and cosy sitting area includes a large sofa, arm chairs and stools and a large television, and the space offers the perfect place for everyone to relax together enjoying good times and conversation.
The open nature of the property and its clever layout promotes a sense of light and space, and a holiday or break with family or friends in this stylish property will ensure that St Mary's Barn stays long in the memory, and you will wish to return.
Additional Information:
One well-behaved dog welcome (additional charge).
Children and infants welcome. Please provide your own travel cot, high chair and cot linen.
