Sitting within 60-acres, this lovingly furnished cottage is the perfect bolthole for exploring the most popular parts of Somerset. Guests are welcome to explore the lush pasture which enjoys fabulous views, and you can even meet the free-range chickens! Located 2 miles from the village of Huish Champflower in the heart of Somerset with the glorious Exmoor National Park and the Brendon Hills right on the doorstep. Visit the beaches of Minehead (17 miles) and Blue Anchor (13.5 miles),or enjoy sea fishing from Watchet (11.5 miles). Water sports enthusiasts will love Wimbleball Lake (7.4 miles) for kayaking, paddleboarding and dinghy sailing. The West Somerset Railway Station, (Williton station 11 miles), provides a wonderful day out on its 20 miles of track to Minehead, passing through scenic countryside and coastline. Dunster, with its medieval village, castle, woods, and parkland (15 miles), is the perfect outing with your four-legged friend! There are also plenty of excellent local pubs within easy reach, the closest being 2.5 miles.
Head through the front door and into this beautifully renovated cottage where you will immediately find yourself in a porch, a perfect place to store muddy boots after a countryside walk. From here, head into the cosy lounge/kitchen/diner a wonderfully relaxing space with a comfy sofa, Smart TV and a warming wood burner set in an inglenook fireplace. Enjoy cooking up a storm in the well-equipped kitchen and enjoy mealtimes around the dining table. Head upstairs and into the bedroom and sleep tight after exploring the wonderful countryside. This light and airy bedroom has a super king-size zip-and-link bed, that can be turned into two single beds (please request this at the time of booking), and enjoys countryside views. Completing the accommodation is an en-suite shower room.
The property is attached to the main house, but benefits from a private entrance and fully enclosed garden. There is a secluded courtyard where you will find a dining table and chairs, so you can relax with your morning coffee or evening drinks. A few steps up takes you to a large, south facing, enclosed lawn and parking area with outstanding views, where you can relax without the worry of your four-legged friends roaming.
