About this property
Harbourside House - Haverigg
Perched on the Cumbrian coast near the outskirts of the Lake District National Park is this delightful, terraced cottage with sea views and plenty of space for families and groups of friends. The host village of Haverigg is perfect for a traditional seaside getaway; walk only metres to reach a sandy beach and make sure to stop for fish and chips or a cafe lunch on your way home. For a day's adventure, head to the Marina (0.5 miles) where you can try your hand at water sports or immerse yourself in local wildlife with a trip to the peaceful RSPB Hodbarrow Nature Reserve. Embark on memorable walks as you join the long-distance Cumbria Way (0.5 miles), and see the best of Cumbria with a daytrip to the Lake District National Park (5 miles) where the likes of Coniston Water, Hawkshead, and Ambleside all await within 25 miles.
Sitting in a quaint row of terraced cottages overlooking the mouth of the River Lazy, this welcoming home offers a reserve-level design, so to make the most of the delightful sea views. Enter the ground floor and head straight up to the first floor where the social heart of the property awaits, the open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner. After days of Cumbrian adventure, unwind in the soft seating and flick on the Smart TV for some evening entertainment. When stomachs start to rumble, find that the well-appointed and airy kitchen space boasts all you need to whip up a feast for the group, who can gather round the nearby dining table to enjoy the chef’s food. For some post-dinner relaxation, congregate in the pretty conservatory area to soak up the sea views with a mug of something warm. At the end of each day choose from three welcoming bedrooms, starting with the two ground-floor rooms, a family bedroom with a double and single bed, and a cosy single room, both of which are served by a family shower room. The final bedroom is on the second floor, a spacious master king-size room with a well-appointed en-suite bathroom.
Outside, to the front of the cottage, start and end each day with a quiet cuppa on the riverside patio with outdoor seating. Private parking for one car is also available at the rear of the property.
