The Soho Apartment is a genuine piece of the original Soho - above a historic jazz club, views across Soho Square and 30 seconds from the Elizabeth Line with direct access to Heathrow. Owned and furnished by a gay couple who have lived in Soho for 25 years, it has a huge amount of character and quite a few quirks! This 3rd floor walk up (no lift!) has one master bedroom, a single bedroom and a circular 'turret' in the living room that will sleep another couple.
The space
This 3rd floor walk up (no lift!) has one master bedroom, a single bedroom and a circular 'turret' in the living room that will sleep another couple. It also has one full shower room and a second (excessively golden!) WC. Kitchen has 2 ovens, a built-in microwave, a SMEG retro fridge freezer and a sexing retro freezer (we like ice!) Also bean to cup coffee maker, citrus press , kettle etc etc. Oh, and a full dishwasher. Then a dining table that can comfortably seat 6.
Guest access
The apartment is on the third floor and there is no lift. As such, we wouldn't recommend it for anyone with mobility issues.
Other things to note
The Soho Turret is quirky and fun - we love it. But it's not for anyone seeking a 'restful escape'! It's on a noisy, corner with restaurants and bars all around. So it can be noisy! The master bedroom has secondary glazing but the rest of the apartment is single glazed. Also the minute you leave the building you walk straight into full on Soho.
Nowhere in the center of a city is completely safe but we have never felt unsafe in Soho. It's boisterous and boozy at night but it's generally very good natured and boy do you see some sights.
We think our place will be enjoyed most by small groups of friends who want to enjoy what Soho has to offer. We have tried to maximize the potential occupancy to help make it an affordable. Our recommendation: a short stay (up to a week) 5 people would be fine (and feel free to contact us if there are more of you - our only concern is that it doesn't become a party venue). Any stay longer than a week, it would be very comfortable for 2 (in the master bedroom) but possible less so for any more than that. There is limited clothing storage for example.
