Ground Floor: Entrance hall. Kitchen/breakfast room (oven, dishwasher, microwave) with patio doors to covered terrace. Sitting/dining room (TV, WiFi) with patio doors to covered terrace. Shower room. Two twin bedrooms. Air conditioning throughout the house. First Floor: Double bedroom with patio doors to terrace and en suite shower room. Outside: Enclosed garden of artificial lawn, open and covered terraces. In-built barbecue. Poolside shower. Private swimming pool (8m x 4m) with Roman steps.
The discovery of a smart holiday home within walking distance of beaches and restaurants is always a delight and it was therefore with great pleasure that we accepted an invitation to view San Francisco, a light and inviting home that enjoys a convenient location in the attractive neighbourhood of Coves Noves, just a 20 minute walk from the picturesque sandy bay of Arenal d’en Castell.
As we walked up its pretty driveway of crazy paved stone and were invited into a neat entrance hall of crisp white walls and light floor tiles, we were immediately struck by the spacious ambience and neat décor of this proudly maintained home. Lining the east-facing walls of both kitchen and living room, a series of patio doors allows light to flood into the comfortably furnished interior and the staircase is overlooked by a tall, eye-catching window. Upstairs on the first floor an attractive principal bedroom enjoys its own en suite facilities and access to a terrace offering views across neighbouring rooftops to the sea.
Outside, on the property’s two covered terraces, summer holiday living can be truly enjoyed. Flowing easily from inside to out via patio doors, these are an ideal extension of the living area and whilst the main terrace overlooks the pool and its surrounding lawn the other lies off the kitchen for breakfasts al fresco. Conveniently located behind the pool is a brick-built barbecue for outdoor catering although those wishing to sample some local cuisine will no doubt be delighted to discover the proximity of the bustling resort of Arenal d’en Castell. This is just 950m from the house and is home to a picture-postcard horseshoe bay of soft golden sand and a pleasing range of restaurants and bars with terraces offering views across the water.
