Enchanting lochside lodge house in peaceful wooded grounds
Nestled in it's own woodland grouds next to the beautiful Lintrathen Loch West Lodge is a perfect retreat to enjoy the splendid scenery of The Angus Glens, the Loch is a short stroll away through the woods and is a haven for wildlife and super for wild swimming , kayaking and paddleboarding. Boat fishing for trout is available at the little boathouse just a few minutes walk from the Lodge.We welcome one dog at West Lodge and there are super walks right on the doorstop There are two super cafes and a farm shop just a short walk from the Lodge both with delicious homebaking. The Wee Bear cafe in Lintrathen is dog friendly too so is a welcome rest stop if you are walking around the Loch.West Lodge is a unique, castellated lodge with three spacious bedrooms and a cosy living room with a lovely open fireplace so you can relax in the flickering firelight. There is a family bathroom upstairs and a small ensuite toilet and wash basin in the downstairs double bedroom. The kitchen is fully equipped with a dishwasher, fan oven and hob, washer/dryer and all the pots, pans and kitchen utensils, crockery you need. Outside there is a BBQ and picnic table in a lovely secluded garden and woodland . Kirriemuir a lovely little town with quaint cobbled streets, known a The Gateway to The Glens, is just 20 minutes by car, the Star Rock Sweet Shop there is a must for confectionary lovers, it's the oldest sweet shop in Scotland with delicious homemade sweeties. The Angus Glens offer a glorious mix of rolling heather clad hills, tumbling waterfalls and wonderful lochs ,perfect for exploring, relaxing and enjoying Scotland's magical scenery
