About this property
Gargoyle Cottage
Gargoyle is a lovely Cornish cottage, tucked away in a quiet spot, nestled ideally in between the heart of the picturesque village of St Agnes and a short walk away from the stunning Trevaunance Cove. A deceptively spacious well equipped cottage, it retains cosy period features while providing all the convenience of modern day living. This hidden gem, really is the perfect ‘home from home’ for family and friends to enjoy all year round.
From the front gate, Gargoyle welcomes you through its delightful well stocked front garden. The cottage benefits from two sitting areas on the ground floor; a pleasant sitting room with television along with an additional snug area with leather armchairs and a classic wood burning stove to nestle up next to on the winter evenings after a day of exploring the coastal paths nearby. At the rear of the cottage is a beautiful and fully equipped kitchen including a good size dining area.
Upstairs are three good size cottage style double bedrooms, all tastefully decorated with comfortable beds for a good night’s sleep. The bedroom at the rear has a double bed with an en-suite shower room; whilst facing the front garden is another double bedroom along with a twin room. There is also a good sized family bathroom. Luxury bed linen, towels and complimentary toiletries are provided
Off the kitchen is a little porch leading out to a private, sunny, paved courtyard garden. This is a glorious area and makes the ideal spot for a sunny afternoon tea with the family. A large garage is accessed from the garden for parking and storing your surfboards or mountain bikes
The picturesque village which sits in an area of outstanding natural beauty, deep in Poldark country, boasts an excellent range of amenities, including its own local bakery, butchers, greengrocers, convenience stores etc, plus fantastic public houses and restaurants. A stroll down to Trevaunance Cove offers a beautiful sandy beach ideal for sand castles, surfing and at low tide rock pooling, while for anyone who enjoys walking, the cove gives easy access to cliff top walks with spectacular coastal scenery that can be enjoyed from the South West coastal path to the National Trust site of Chapel Porth.
