About this property
Y Bwthyn, Cardigan - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4
Llantood Farm is a 200-acre working farm in North Pembrokeshire, 3 miles south of Cardigan, with its many attractions, and 3 miles from the coast. Cilgerran Castle can also be seen in the distance with the river Teifi winding its way to the sea.
Y Bwthyn has been carefully renovated from an eighteenth-century building to provide cosy accommodation for a relaxing holiday in this beautiful, unspoilt area. It features plenty of exposed beams, an inglenook fireplace, and wood-burning stove, and is a very cosy centrally heated cottage.
Visitors are welcome to explore the farm to see the animals being fed, stroll across the fields to spot wildlife, or visit the ruins of a motte and bailey castle. The woodland is home to foxes, rabbits, squirrels, buzzards and wood pigeon. Friendly donkeys, Molly and Mali, are always ready to make friends with anyone who is willing to feed them a carrot.
The area has plenty of water sports available and there are several riding schools. The coastal path has breathtaking views, and the seals in Ceibwr Bay and around Cardigan Island are especially enchanting. Walking on the Preseli Hills, with far-reaching views towards Cornwall and Ireland on a clear day, is also popular.
