About this property
Y Cartws, Cardigan - Two Bedroom Cottage, Sleeps 4
Llantood Farm is a 200-acre working farm in North Pembrokeshire, 3 miles south of Cardigan with its many attractions, and 3 miles from the coast, with panoramic views of the Preseli mountains. Cilgerran Castle can be seen in the distance with the river Teifi winding its way to the sea.
Y Cartws has been carefully renovated from an eighteenth-century building and features a log burner, central heating and exposed stone-walling. It provides cosy accommodation for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful unspoilt area.
Visitors are welcome to explore the farm to see animals being fed and spot wildlife across the fields, or visit a ruined motte and bailey castle. The woodland is home to foxes, rabbits, squirrels, buzzards and wood pigeon, the resident donkeys, Molly and Mali, are always ready to make friends with anyone who is willing to feed them a carrot.
The area has plenty of water sports available and there are several riding schools. The coastal path has breathtaking views, and the seals in Ceibwr Bay and around Cardigan Island are especially enchanting. Walking on the Preseli Hills is also popular, where on a clear day you can see Cornwall and Ireland.
