This apartment is spaciously away from all the downtown activities, but close enough to walk if you are up for it. We walk it often and appreciate being far enough away to get there, but away from the activity when we want to keep our distance. The bar and restaurant scene is our opinion the best in town, changing and growing all the time. This apartment was built in 1922. There have been some modification to the floor plan, but it still functions very well and it has been updated to include all necessary functionality. The oak flooring is original. The kitchen has granite and all the bells and whistles. It even has a bidet. This apartment is situated so there is access to the deck with a firepit, outside TV, comfortable seating, and even a putting green if you feel like moving around a bit. We offer one private bedroom with door that closes. The other bed is in the sunroom and is open to the kitchen. There is a sleep sofa in the living room. The bathroom has an old claw foot tub what is a great soak, as well as shower.

Everything was as stated. It was large enough to have visitors since i had lived in bakersfield before. It is centrally located which is nice. Also the backyard is lovely and across the street is a park. I enjoyed my stay and would stay tere again if available.
