About this property

Roundhouse near Barnstable

Property Summary
The Roundhouse is the perfect base whether you want to explore all North Devon has to offer or just relax on our beautiful site. You can swim in our outdoor heated pool, meet the animals or just find a quiet corner in the garden to enjoy a glass of wine or a book.

Main Description
The Roundhouse is a ground-floor property with a private entrance. It is one of six cottages on our site, attached to the Grain Store and Threshing Barn. The Roundhouse is all on one level, with no internal steps.

The private entrance leads directly into the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen area. The living room is spacious, featuring a smart TV and comfortable leather sofa and chair. A solid beech breakfast bar separates the living and kitchen areas, allowing for easy conversation while cooking or dining together.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge/freezer, microwave, and electric cooker (grill, main oven, and hob). The cupboards are well-stocked with crockery, cutlery, glasses, and pans.

The spacious bedroom with a double bed offers views of the gardens. There is a shower room with a shower, toilet, and sink.

The cottage includes a small utility cupboard with a washer/dryer for the exclusive use of Roundhouse guests.

In addition to the private use of the Roundhouse, guests have shared access to several on-site facilities:

Outdoor heated swimming pool: Available for guests from May half-term until the end of September.
Games room: Enjoy a game of table football or table tennis.
Gardens: Shared access to 2 acres of gardens surrounding the cottages, with picnic benches, garden chairs, and BBQs available for dining or relaxation.
Car parking: One parking space is provided in our shared parking area.

The outdoor swimming pool is open from May half term until the end of September from approx 9am - 8pm.
Our new pool heater keeps the water at a comfortable 28°C, perfect for swimming for all ages, including the littlest swimmers.
The pool measures 11.5m by 5m and is 1.68m deep at its deepest point.
Free use of the swimming pool is included with your cottage rental.
There is no booking system for the pool; it is a shared facility open to all guests.

The games room is open 24/7 (please keep noise to a minimum after 9pm).
Popular activities include table tennis and table football.
There are toys and games for toddlers and younger children.
We offer a large selection of books for you to borrow and enjoy in the gardens or your cottage.

Take a short stroll along our stream or splash in its waters.
The mix of open grass areas and mature trees provides sunny spots and shady retreats.

We frequently have home-grown fruit, vegetables, and eggs available for purchase.
Enjoy seasonal produce that has traveled food meters, not food miles.
We take pride in growing our own food and are always happy to show you around our gardens and share tips.
