Another major attraction is the Glen Ord Distillery and Visitor Centre, a 5 star award-winning visitor experience, which is open all the year round and well worth a visit. Locally, there is Muir of Ord golf course and an abundance of nice cycle routes and walks including Ben Wyvis. Just a few miles away the village of Beauly offers a quality shopping experience, where visitors can find the finest Scottish tweeds, knitwear and crafts as well as a number of intimate hotels and cafes.
The whole area known as ‘The Black Isle’ has some of the prettiest scenery in Scotland with stunning glens where flora and fauna abound. Nearby Glen Affric, a National Nature Reserve, has been called the most beautiful of all the Scottish glens, and is an ideal location for walkers and cyclists with quiet tracks leading you off road and deep into the glen.
