About this property
Tucked away in a magical corner of Cornwall, South Lodge sits peacefully on the enchanting Bonython
Tucked away in a magical corner of Cornwall, South Lodge sits peacefully on the enchanting Bonython Estate, one of the Great Gardens of Cornwall. Encompassed by trees and idyllic gardens, this tranquil haven is just the spot to rest and rejuvenate. This single-storey dwelling invites 4 guests and your four-legged friend to explore a slice of Cornwall's beautifully rugged coastline, with the likes of Kynance Cove and the Lizard Peninsula on your doorstep.
Oozing with English cottage charm, this gorgeous wooden-clad hideaway will have you falling in love from the moment you arrive. Step inside and sink into the opulence that South Lodge radiates, inspired by the beauty of your natural surroundings, the interiors are utterly soul-soothing. With its open-plan living, dining and kitchen area, you are invited to spend quality time together. Picture crisp autumn walks where you return to warm your toes beside the crackling wood burning stove, or summer days where you throw open the french doors and listen to birdsong. There's two luxurious sofas and a Smart Television, should you be kept inside by the weather. The kitchen offers everything you'll need to rustle up delicious dinners, including a characterful electric range cooker, Tassimo coffee machine, dishwasher and a lovely dining table seating four guests. There is a convenient utility room housing a washing machine, tumble dryer and iron with an ironing board. Head to the opulent master bedroom and sink into the super king size bed, where peaceful slumbers are promised. Here, you have the added luxury of an en-suite bathroom with a gorgeous freestanding bath perfect for bubble-filled soaks, a walk in shower, wash basin and WC. Bedroom two hosts two sumptuous single beds, adorned with soft linens, and an en-suite complete with a walk-in shower, wash basin and WC.
The magic continues outside, where you can discover the wonderful garden room. This peaceful bolthole invites you to unwind; delve into a holiday read, roll out a yoga mat or simply sit back, relax and soak in the tranquility. Younger guests will revel amongst this enchanting green playground, and we really wouldn't blame you for popping open a bottle of fizz and slipping into the bubbling hot tub (please note, there is an extra charge for use of the hot tub). The sprawling grounds of Bonython Estate are listed as one of the Great Gardens of Cornwall, and with complimentary access during your stay, you are encouraged to explore a range of elegant gardens, tranquil lakes and endless walking trails, beloved pooch in tow. The unspoilt Lizard Peninsula, Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, also has endless offerings, from the turquoise waters of Kynance Cove, to the postcard pretty fishing village of Cadgwith.
Additional Information
One well behaved dog welcome (small additional charge).
Travel cot and highchair available on request, please bring your own cot linen.
