About this property
A spacious village house for two, a minutes walk from the local amenities!
A cute, one bedroom house close to the center of the picturesque village of Loubès-Bernac. Equipped with everything two people need for a relaxing holiday in rural France.
Enter the light, airy and spacious, open plan kitchen, dining and living room which opens out to the back garden, with covered patio area. Beyond, the lawn stretches out to the beautiful, rural, vineyard views with beautiful evening sunsets. Upstairs you will find a huge bedroom with a seating area over looking those beautiful views, a double bed and ensuite shower room.
The house is walking distance (2 mins) to the village amenities. We are very lucky to have the popular En Tout Simplicité Restaurant, a hairdresser, beautician, post office and petanque pitch. Plus the local shop will be open again in 2025! There is also a pizza van every Tuesday evening and a delicious Chinese takeaway, Pang's Wok, available on Wednesday evenings!
Looking to totally relax and find your inner calm? Plum Village, the world renowned Buddhist retreat founded by Thich Nhat Hanh, is a 25 minute walk away with its regular retreats and days of mindfulness.
Looking for a fun night out out? The busy little town of Eymet is just a 15 minute drive away with it's great choice of restaurants, bars and shops to explore, plus a huge market every Thursday morning. You're always sure to find a lively crowd in Eymet!
Duras with its medieval chateau, cafés and Monday morning market is also just 15 minutes away!
As dog owner's ourselves, one of our favorite things about Loubes Bernac is that it's surrounded by a network of tracks and trails for nature walks. Perfect for letting our furry friends off their leash and exploring the beautiful vineyards, plum orchards and sunflower fields with circular walks from 3km to 10km and more!

About the host
Your host

Hi, I'm Emma and I moved to France from the UK in 2011. I live in Loubes-Bernac with my husband, James, and our yorkie-collie cross, George.
Why they chose this property
We love Loubes because it's small and rural but has lots of amenities and a lovely community! There is a shop that sells all the essentials and has tables to sit and enjoy a coffee, a very popular restaurant which serves delicious, fresh, home-cooked food, as well as a post-office, a hair dressers and beauty salon!
What makes this property unique
Maison Bijou is located just a minutes walk from the amenities but is surrounded by vineyards, plum orchards and sunflower fields.
Perfect for couples or single travelers looking for a self-catered holiday with all the comforts of home.
