About this property

The Old Barn Marlborough - with games room in Marlborough

From the historic red brick façade, The Old Barn Marlborough stretches before you with spacious open plan living areas. Combining aspects of its 250-year heritage, original sash windows flood the house with light while woodburning stoves provide warmth and a cosy atmosphere.

Rustle up a feast in the expansive kitchen/diner, the hub of the house where you can set the table for ten and host a celebratory meal. At the end of the day the traditional snug in the oldest part of the house is made for slowly sipping after dinner drinks while the fire crackles. Keeping younger guests entertained is a breeze here with table football and a living room waiting for your favourite film or a games tournament on the Wii console. Three modern bathrooms and five generous bedrooms are set across the first floor with the master bedroom sitting at the back of the house beneath an exposed A-frame of beams adorned with sparkling fairy lights, a lovely escape at the end of the day.

Tucked away, the rear garden is a secluded spot. Sitting alongside the black and white exterior you can dine al fresco or make the most of sunny days bringing your book outside to recline beneath the trees. With the delights of Marlborough on your doorstep there is so much to see and do. Take a walk to see the white horse on the hill just outside the town, head to Stonehenge to learn more about this magical ancient site or discover the North Wessex Downs AONB which surrounds Marlborough.
