Summary:
This 1920s double-fronted home in Dawlish offers stylish comfort with modern amenities. Set behind a gated drive with ample parking, it has a large garden, table tennis & pool. Inside, find a high-spec kitchen, 2 cosy living rooms with smart TVs & multiple dining areas. Upstairs, the king bedroom has an ensuite, while the double, twin/super king & single rooms share a luxurious family bathroom. Find another shower room downstairs. Enjoy the games room with pool table, darts, karaoke!
The Space:
Whether your travelling as a group of friends or as a family, this spacious home in Dawlish is well-equipped with everything you could need. With a 12 metre pool (available May to September), table tennis table, large garden and games room with 9ft pool table, darts and a karaoke machine, you won't struggle to stay entertained! It's also well-equipped throughout with smart TVs, a high spec kitchen with all the mod cons, and handy family amenities such as a high chair, travel cot, bath and children's dinnerware.
The sleeping arrangements have been designed to allow flexibility and comfort too. There is a king room, a double room and a third twin room which can also be set up as a super-king on request. You'll also find a fourth nursery room with a single bed. The master has an ensuite bathroom with shower and toilet and there is a second large family bathroom with luxurious raised bath. Downstairs, there is an additional shower room and toilet for added convenience.
The spacious drive can accommodate up to 9 vehicles behind a secure electric gate, including larger vehicles such as motorhomes or boats with trailers. There is also a good sized garden with multiple seating areas. So we can also welcome dogs to stay (maximum of 2 with additional fee of £20/dog).
Guest Access:
Guests will have access to the entire house and garden.
The Neighborhood:
Welcome to Dawlish, a charming seaside town on the south coast of Devon known for its scenic beaches, rich wildlife, and relaxed atmosphere. Start your visit by strolling down to Dawlish Town Beach, which is only a 10-minute walk down the picturesque Dawlish Water River. Here you'll find a long sandy beach and the famous Dawlish sea wall. Nearby, Dawlish Warren Beach and Nature Reserve is a haven for nature lovers, featuring sand dunes, rare plants, and over 200 bird species—perfect for birdwatching and peaceful walks.
In the heart of town, Dawlish Water runs through The Lawn, a beautiful park that’s home to the iconic black swans, ducks, and other waterfowl. Families will enjoy the play areas and miniature golf nearby. There are also numerous pubs, cafes and shops on the waterfront. Don’t miss a trip to Coryton Cove for a quieter beach experience with charming beach huts.
Explore the South Devon Railway Line, which passes along Dawlish’s dramatic coastline, or take a day trip along the South West Coast Path for breathtaking coastal walks. Dawlish offers a delightful mix of seaside fun, natural beauty, and relaxing charm.
You don't have to travel far though, as right opposite the property The Manor House features a lovely park and kids play area.
Getting Around:
For those who drive, the property has ample private parking for 8-9 vehicles on the gated driveway. However, Dawlish is also very convenient to explore on foot or via bicycle. The train station is only a 10 minute walk and connects to major cities like Bristol and London via Exeter. There is also secure, covered storage at the property for bikes.
Other Things to Note:
The pool is only available from May to September (in 2025 only it is available from 20th April). Please be aware that the pool is not fenced and is used at your own risk, it is not heated. Those under 18 years old must never be left unattended outside, especially when they are using the pool. Alcohol must not be consumed before use, and glass is not allowed around the pool. The pool maintenance company may need to attend during your stay to set chemical levels.
The gardener attends every other Friday during the spring and summer months, and once a month during winter.
The default set up of the optional bedroom is a twin room with two single beds. The superking set up must be requested in advance.
