Capt. Dan's Fishing getaway. Canal Front Home with Underwater Fishing Light.
Relaxing canal front home located in Palm Harbor subdivision with a dock to tie up the boat after a great day of fishing. Covered lighted fish cleaning station right on the dock. With direct access to the ICW and Estes flats.
This is a 2 story home with Kitchen, living room with 32" flat screen, dining, 2 bedrooms and 1 bath on 2nd story. Balcony overlooks dock and canal. The lower level has 1 bedroom, 1 bath, and large entertainment room with bar. The only way to go from 1st to 2nd level is an exterior staircase that is in pictures. Unfortunately there is not a staircase inside the house. The pool table and dart board are usually good to play around on but not in great condition and sticks and darts may not be usable if damaged I am trying to keep them available for play. There is however a 50" flat screen.

Definitely would stay again, it was amazing little getaway for my husband’s birthday! Just relaxing and being able to fish off the canal even on a busy weekend was amazing!
We loved it. The owners description was accurate and it was in the perfect location. It is no more than a 5 minute drive to restaraunts and bars. The canal is a straight shot into the bay. Everything was great.
This has become our groups favorite place to rent! There is so much room for parking. Especially when you bring your boats! The neighborhood is so quiet and the neighbors are nice. Will be back soon!
Second time for our group staying at this house. We love the convenience of the house from town, boat ramps and canal. Our group can’t find anything negative to say about the place! Definitely will be our regular place to book!
Even though it was a short getaway for the weekend, we had a relaxing time. Love the convenience of being able to dock our boat and just walk right out to it and go fishing. The home was well equipped with everything we needed.
Will definitely stay here again.
We had a GREAT time at Danny’s. Owners are very responsive, the house was very comfortable and well maintained, and it was perfect for four of us - in town fishing for a few days. I think the house has room for six, and there is plenty of room upstairs and down. We plan to come back!!
My 4 children, husband and sister stayed at this property for 2 night and it was perfect for us. My son is the fisherman and was waking up each morning checking the crab traps we set out by the dock. It was truly a great oasis and although it rained we never felt stuck in the house. Both levels had all we needed and more! Loved everything about it. Will definitely be back to this lovely home 😊
2 night stay was great. The home had very comfortable beds. The kitchen was week stocked with all we needed. No fish in the canal. We tried all day and night. Had fun at the piers nearby catching fish. AC worked great.
This property is the perfect getaway for any group! The house is laid out to give everyone their own space. The downstairs game room is very spacious, as well. Our group was in a tournament the weekend we booked this property and we loved how convenient it was to leave the boats in the water and the bay was just a short trip down the canal. Not to mention the fish cleaning table was very convenient too! Definitely will be booking this property again!!

Fishing Trip Material
This property is better suited for a weekend fishing trip with the guys versus a family weekend.
Property needs some updates and a better cleaning service and leinens , used a kitchenAid towel in the bathroom. A moldy/ musty smell both up and downstairs.
If you intend to play pool expect the tips of the cues to be cut off and splintered.

Dirty
The property was not very clean, roaches in the kitchen, continued odor in the downstairs bedroom, dishes in the dishwasher that were left I believe from last stay. Sink dirty no cool water only hot water coming from faucets outside there was a Bee nest. Main bed upstairs very uncomfortable felt like I was sleeping on plastic. The only thing I enjoyed was outdoors with the exception of the Bee nest.
This place was perfect for what we needed it for. Just a place to sleep and cook while not fishing. The location was perfect and it was nice to be on the canal. It’s a pretty old house and some things are a bit dated, but it all functions perfectly. Not entirely baby friendly (one year old), but it worked great for us! The renters are kind and communicate well. Very smooth trip.
This is a well maintained property. Pictures do not do it justice. Great location neighborhood is quiet and courteous. The second level is great for multi generational use it has separate ac units along with everything you need for your home away from home. Property owner did great with replies to any questions we had. Despite the rain we enjoyed ourselves and with no paved driveway we were able to come in and out with no issues as there is gravel under grass.
