Carriers Stable - escape to this delightful and serene 1 -bedroom detached period cottage in Area of Natural Beauty (AONB) in quiet road, perfect for a romantic getaway or a peaceful solo retreat. this charming home offers a warm, inviting atmosphere with all the comforts of home, which has been available to rent since 2003 with many reviews.
We have access to Cheaper ferry bookings currently through Redfunnel Ferries (Southampton/East Cowes)
The cosy living area features a comfortable sofas, an electric coal effect stove, and tasteful decor, creating a relaxing space to unwind after a day of exploring. The fully-equipped kitchen includes everything you need to prepare your meals, including a oven, big fridge freezer, microwave, along with all the utensils and cookware.
The bedroom boasts a plush queen-sized bed with high-quality linens and soft pillows, ensuring a restful night's sleep. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, offering views of the surrounding garden to enjoy as you wake up each morning.
Step outside to your own peaceful garden or patio area and large drive which you can turn round in. You can enjoy your morning coffee or a glass of wine in the evening in private. Whether you're looking to relax or explore, you'll find plenty of nearby activities. There is also a secure bike rack and a cover for two bikes at end of drive out of sight of road and there is a heavy stainless steel chain and large padlock with Yale type key
With free WiFi, flat-screen TV's with satellite receivers upstairs and downstairs and smart features, and thoughtful touches throughout, this cottage is the ideal blend of comfort and charm. A perfect base for couples, solo travellers, or anyone looking to experience the tranquillity of the garden isle.
There are many footpaths around us and up on the downs, Isle of Wight has the greatest density of footpaths in the UK. The round island cycle path is at the bottom of the road
Carriers Stable started out in Victorian times as a stable for 3 horses and a carriage with a upper floor for hay etc. Pictures of the various 'Carriers' around the island used to meet up in St Thomas's square in Newport to exchange goods.

We have resided here for 37 years and converted Carriers Stable from a Victorian stable in 2003. Holidays are important and we try to make holidaying in Carriers Stable enjoyable. We live close by and can ensure that any problems are dealt with promptly.

Brighstone and the Isle of Wight is a friendly and beautiful place to live, especially here in the West Wight. Brighstone is surrounded by the downs and with the sea in front within easy walking distance
What makes this property unique
Within Brighstone with easy access to village centre at the base of the downs with many footpaths direct access to the downs and forest with paths along the downs with great views of both sides of the island and sea and mainland and southern chalk cliffs.
