About this property
Spacious, luxurious house in Holt, total refurbishment: new from April 2025
Applewood, in the same family for 25 years, has undergone a total renovation throughout to be rented for the first time from 2025. With high ceilings and exceptional downstairs space for get-togethers with family and friends, Applewood provides a gracious and luxurious house to call home in the wonderful North Norfolk town of Holt. With easy access on foot to the town centre with its myriad boutiques, food shops, cafes and restaurants, the house is also perfectly located for exploring the stunning north Norfolk countryside and coast.
Located off Grove Lane and very near to Gresham's School, the house offers three double bedrooms, and a fourth with optional twin/double layout plus further single+1 bed. Two bedrooms have en suite bathrooms, with a further family bathroom. The master bedroom with super king-size bed has an en suite with shower and bathtub. Bedroom two has a kingsize bed. Bedroom three with kingsize bed is on the ground floor with an en suite shower room. Bedroom four can be set up as a king-size double or a twin, plus a further full-size single bed with rollaway bed underneath, with the house sleeping a maximum recommended total of nine adults plus one child.
A fully equipped kitchen with AGA (on in autumn/winter months), plus separate electric cooker and convection hob, is characterful but with all mod cons. A breakfast room with pantry counter is equipped with coffee machines and hot tap - everything needed to start the day or stay out of the way of cooks in the kitchen. A separate utility room with American fridge and icemaker also houses a washer and drier, with space to hang coats, dry wellies and put dog beds.
A dining room with an extendable table to seat up to 12, adjoins a large, high-ceilinged and airy lounge with parquet floors: beautifully cool with a beach vibe for the summer and a gas fire for the winter. Doors lead to a conservatory with seating and a view over the enclosed garden. A separate study leads off the spacious hallway for those needing time out or to work, or a TV room. Outside there's a large terrace and covered gazebo. An outdoor table seats ten under cover, with a barbecue.
A separate games room features a pool table, professional darts board and a computer games table with highlights from the 80s such as Pac Man and Space Invaders! A large driveway in a very quiet private cul de sac ensures parking for four cars.
Dogs are more than welcome, with a secure rear garden and a hose for muddy or sandy paws. We ask that they stay and sleep downstairs, in the kitchen, breakfast room and utility area.
