About this property
Lark Rise Cottage - 3 White Hoe Farm
Set on a delightful farm and small holiday site, this charming, single-level barn conversion nestles in the calm Lincolnshire countryside, offering a tranquil escape from the hustle and bustle to couples and small families. Lovers of the outdoors will embrace the various walking trails near the property and in the surrounding countryside, while thrill-seekers should plan a day at the races and visit nearby Blyton Park Race Track, or Skydive Hibaldstow (both 5 miles). For a quieter day out, the serene and well-stocked fishing lakes at Cleatham Trout Fishery are 4 miles away. Soak up the local history with a visit to Normanby Hall Country Park (15 miles) where over 300 acres of pretty parkland and a grand Regency mansion await. View the magnificence of the Humber Bridge and explore the nearby nature reserves.
Enter this welcoming farm, stopping at the friendly farm shop’s carpark before continuing on foot just around the corner to the gently sloped path leading to the cottage. Before stepping inside, take a moment to absorb the surrounding scenery, which is now yours to enjoy, including far-reaching views of rolling fields and woodland. Head inside to find the rural charm continues in the form of an open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner – the social heart of the home. Settle on the sofa after days of countryside rambles, snuggling in the glow of the wood burner while the TV plays your favourite shows. When stomachs rumble, find that the well-appointed kitchen space boasts all the amenities needed to cook up feasts for your loved ones, who can gather at the wooden dining table inside to enjoy the chef’s work, or dine alfresco outside when the weather permits. At the end of each day away, retire to the cosy family bedroom with an inviting king-size and additional single bed, plus a refreshing en-suite shower room for your comfort and convenience. The sofa in the lounge can also be converted into a double bed (available on request at time of booking).
Outside, a pretty courtyard-style garden awaits with outdoor seating. Picnic or stroll on the adjacent field as you unwind surrounded by nature and tranquillity. Ample private parking is available, as is an on-site farm shop where you can buy local produce including fresh eggs from the resident hens for your morning fry-up.
