THE NEIGHBOURHOOD
The street is dedicated to the Ricasoli family and in ancient times, at least until 1847, the street was called Via del Cocomero and the ancient Teatro Niccolini, at the beginning of the street towards Piazza del Duomo, was indeed called Teatro del Cocomero.
Together with via degli Alfani, the street forms a small square overlooked by the Luigi Cherubini Conservatory and the entrance to the Accademia Gallery, the former San Matteo Hospital.
The neighbourhood is full of restaurants and bars that, especially in summer, enliven the squares and streets with their alfresco tables. Here you can enjoy the best of Tuscan cuisine, whether for an informal lunch or a romantic dinner.
Ideal for couples or families with children, the area has everything you may need during your stay.
We are within walking distance of all the main attractions of the city.
At a stone throw you find:
Academy Gallery
Piazza della Signoria and Palazzo Vecchio
Piazza SS. Annuziata and the Spedale degli Innocenti with its beautiful panoramic terrace
The Duomo and the Baptistery
The complex of San Firenze
The Opificio delle pietre dure
The Archaeological Museum
The Leonardo da Vinci Museum
Piazza San Marco
Uffizi Gallery
Crossing the Arno you can reach in a few minutes walk
Pitti Palace
The Boboli Gardens
The Specola Museum,
Porta San Frediano,
Santo Spirito, with its typical markets and the beautiful church of the same name

About the host

Tourism has always been my passion and my "motto" is: feel at home, even far away from home.
Moved by a great love for travel and hospitality, I like to know new places and learn about different cultures and people.
But I also love to show you the beauty of Florence & Tuscany, how the locals "feel" this enchantable place, just to make you live unforgettable experiences to tell!
We look forward to welcoming you!
