About this property

Sea Glass Cottage is new and ready for your family. With 4 large and private bedrooms and 4 baths, our house will comfortably sleep 10 (max capacity,) and our home is equipped with everything you will need for a relaxing, stress-free get-away. You will be comfortable without feeling too close to others. Just bring your toothbrush! We are the closest house to the beach and community pool in Watersound West. Home provides two master king bedrooms- each with its own full bathroom, 32 inch flat screen TV's in three bedrooms. We hope you'll be one of the first to enjoy our updated home!

Some of the many features of our home: Home stereo plays your I-pod throughout the house. 7 bikes, 1 double child's bike trailer, and a beach cart are available AT NO ADDITIONAL CHARGE with the house for your use with helmets. We have a Wii with games for use in the main living area. Enjoying grilling out on our home's new gas grill all while taking in the scenic views from our cozy screened in porch!

WaterSound West Beach is the newest addition to the St. Joe Company's fabulous WaterSound community, a private, gated enclave at Seagrove Beach, between Destin and Panama City Beach. The expansive West Beach private pool is included and literally a 30 second walk from the front porch of our home. The pool cabana includes barbecue facilities, bathrooms with showers, and a large outdoor fireplace, perfect for cozy gatherings. Watersound West Beach is located south of Hwy 30-A, about 1.5 miles west of Water Sound.

Most importantly, Sea Glass Cottage is located just steps from the private boardwalk, which meanders to the beach via a lovely and easy 5 minute walk or 2 minute bike ride. *No stairs up or down to beach from house!* Beach crowding is never an issue on this secluded beach expanse. No high rise or condo congestion.

There is not a better location to spend time with family than Watersound West Beach. Wide boardwalks and neighborhood streets provide safe and scenic riding for all ages with very little traffic. Hop on the Hwy 30-A Scenic Corridor Bike Path for nearby destinations such as Seaside, Seagrove, and Rosemary Beach.

Just a few doors down from our home, Horseshoe Park will welcome a family game of horseshoes or simply lazing with a good book under the shade of a magnolia tree. Just steps from the front door, Puttering Park will help golfers hone their putting skills.

Community is gated with 24 hour security patrol.

Great location with something for everyone

We really enjoyed our stay! We had kids ages 1 through 13 and the house had great accommodations for everyone. Beach access and pool were great. House was very clean and was a great size for our 10 guests. We enjoyed having the bikes available with morning trips to nearby shops and restaurants. Looking forward to our next trip!

Best Beach Award 🥇 🏖️ ☀️

This is a spacious home with plenty of room for our party of 9! 4 full baths made getting ready no problem! The house is in a calm family oriented neighborhood. It is in a gated community. We allowed our kids to ride their bikes every evening and felt like it was a safe place. The walk to the beach was a good 1/4 mile on the boardwalk! The carts provided with the bikes were a lifesaver getting to/from the beach with all our gear! We had lots of kids and lots of toys so they learned quickly that they will help carry beach toys from the boardwalk to the water. We ended up purchasing a tent to use instead of the umbrellas provided. It was so simple to carry and to set up! We gave it 4 stars on accuracy of the listing because of inaccurate posting of the pantry items (it has been updated since) and a few of the beach chairs weren’t in working condition. This is a wonderful home in a great area! The beach area was never crowded and we had plenty of room! The owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. We would definitely book with them again!

Williams Family beach trip 2023

Sea Glass Cottage was beautiful and in a wonderful location across from pool and closest to boardwalk to private beach. It was set up with items for small children The beach chairs and beach toys were great! We throughly enjoyed our week. Janet was very attentive.

The home was beautiful and spacious. We loved being close to the beach walkover. The bikes are fantastic. Tip: purchase soap, dish soap, trash bags, etc. there were 2 trash bags and all the soaps were half full.

Nice size home for our family, which included 8 adults and 2 toddler children

Home was clean and well furnished. Great location to the pool and close to the boardwalk to the beach. Bikes and beach chairs were provided. Very nice gated neighborhood and close to restaurants, stores, and coffee shops. Communication with owners was great. Beach not crowded.

Second time around

We had a our second stay at Sea Glass cottage and enjoyed it just as much as the first time. Definitely a great house for families and kiddos. The house is equipped with lots of beach items for use at the beach which made it easier to take stuff to the beach. We highly recommend.

Favorite location on 30A

The location was wonderful and made for a perfect backdrop for a family vacation. Owners go out of their way to make this a family friendly experience with most every amenity you would need for a baby. Only two small disappointments, cleaning team before our arrival missed a few things AND a bulldozer arrived next door on day 2 of our stay.

Perfect Spring Break Getaway

We loved our stay at Watersound West. This is one of the only quiet places left on 30A...we barely left the neighborhood because the kids were happy playing at the pool, fishing, riding bikes to the beach, and hanging out in the cozy home when it was chilly or rainy. The house was perfect for two families and everyone had a place to sleep. Beds were comfy and the house had a lot of great amenities. We'll definitely rent here again.

Perfect pre-season getaway

This is just a wonderful property: We loved the location close to beach and pool, the perfectly equipped kitchen, available bikes and pull cart, layout of the house, the safe and quiet neighborhood and of course the proximity to Seaside. The size of the house was perfect for 2 couples + 2 young adults and everyone had a lot of fun. It was spotless clean but you pay for that with a cleaning fee we felt was quite high. Thank you Janet for sharing this beautiful home.

2021 Watersound West Vacation

Just driving into the gates was relaxing. The directions from the owner were spot on. The location of the house was perfect- just across from the pool and right beside the access point tp the beach. The house itself was beautiful. Large enough for us all to have our own room. The kitchen was big with everything we needed. Everything was spotless!, Absolutely loved the house and will defintley rent here again.

Family vacation

Property is perfectly located just across the street from the pool that the entire family enjoyed and steps away from the boardwalk to the beach where we made lasting memories. My 4 year old granddaughter perfected her Uno game at the dining room table. My 8 week old grandson loved being outside on the screened in back porch. We had a great week! So thankful to have spent precious time there with our family.

We loved Seaglass Cottage. The layout was perfect for multiple couples/families to share the space. The amenities were as described and well appointed. The proximity to the beach walkway was nice. The perfect week!

We stayed at this property years ago, and were so excited to return! The home is lovely with a well stocked kitchen! It was also nice to have access to so many bikes! The walk to the beach is pleasant! We definitely recommend this rental property!

We are Janet and John Colgan. We fell in love with Watersound West and truly feel like it's the best location on the beach. We love that we own in a gated community where its safe for us to enjoy with our four adult children and our grandchildren. We love that our small grandchildren can enjoy a huge zero entry pool directly across from our home and that the boardwalk to a uncrowded beach is steps from our door as well. We also own next to a nature preserve which gives us added beauty and privacy. I'm sure you will love this home as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

Our home is closest on the row closest to the beach and pool in a lovely gated community with a resort feel. We have a large beautiful community pool and a lovely boardwalk to the beach. The walk to the beach is like a nature walk that takes you through tall pines and opens to a gorgeous view of Deer Lake and huge sand dunes. As you walk to the beach across the lake, you will see wildlife, water lilies, wild flowers and beautiful snow white sand dunes. As you near the beach, prepare to have your breath taken away by the view of the crystal blue 'emerald coast' waters. The private, quiet beach is our favorite part of Watersound West Beach and we are sure that you will love it too.
