Dartmoor Inn, a single-storey cottage, consists of a studio-style layout including a king-size bed, a kitchen including an electric oven, ceramic hob, microwave, fridge with ice box, kettle, toaster, a dining area, and a sitting area with TV. The bedroom consists of a king-size bed serviced by a wet room with a walk-in shower. Outside, there is an enclosed front garden with patio, gravel, furntiure, and an enclosed rear lawn, plus ample off-road parking. Two well-behaved pets welcome, but sorry, no smoking. Within 1.2 miles, you will find a shop, and within 1.5 miles, a pub. WiFi, fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price. There is a Shell garage which serves takeaway food and sells essentials, there is also the The Pump & Pedal pub and a bike hire shop. The nearby town of Okehampton is home to the ruins of a medieval castle which offers tours, walking paths & picnic spots with gorgeous flowers, as well as the Museum of Dartmoor Life which is set in a quaint 19th century mill. There is also a golf club, a train station and ample shops, bars and eateries which make for a great day out. Nearby Meldon offers a fascinating quarry, viaduct and reservoir and good paths up to Yes Tor. Sourton Down offers easy access to the Black-a-Tor hiking area, and being based between two A-roads, there is also great access to the rest of Devon via car. Also worth the visit is the Saxton town of Lydford, which has lots of history; from ruins of an English Heritage castle to the National Trust Lydford Gorge which offers woodlands trails and a waterfall.
