About this property
Marche apartment Summ
Summary:
This is a beautiful 3 bedroom Le Marche apartment situated in a historic 15th century palace. The apartment is extremely luxurious reflecting its incredible history and comfortably accommodates up to 5 guests in three bedrooms. The decor reflects the age of the property and incredibly close attention has been paid to every single detail to create a unique place to stay.
The Space:
The palace was originally built to house the parish priest of the adjacent church of San Michele Arcangelo however it was later acquired by a local noble family - the Gigliucci - who carried out extensive renovation works. At the turn of the 17th century, a marriage between this family and the Vinci family led to the palace being extended adapted to reflect the growing needs of this important noble family. Further work was carried out on the property in the mid 19th century by well-known architect Giovan Battista Carducci. These days, the palace remains one of the most significant palaces in the region and has been beautifully converted into a series of stunning apartments.
This particular Marche apartment would once have been the private rooms of the Countess. Filled with elegant furnishings, modern architectural design blends harmoniously with original historic features to create a unique place to stay.
The accommodation in this Marche apartment is spread over three floors, connected to each other by a marble spiral staircase. Inside, there are two double bedrooms and a single bedroom, each boasting their own bathroom. There is also a living area, kitchen and dining room. The living room is particularly impressive with an incredible frescoed ceiling and a magnificent view of the Sibillini mountains beyond.
Please note that, when applicable, heating is charged at an extra 100 euros per stay in the Winter. For stays longer that one week, it will be charged at 100 euros per week.
The Neighborhood:
This Le Marche apartment is situated in the hilltop town of Fermo, the capital of the province of the same name. Due to its elevated position, the town enjoys phenomenal views over the surrounding countryside. The town itself is steeped in history and is home to a number of significant Roman remains. It is an extremely attractive town but, at the same time, is off the main tourist trail in Italy and so allows holidaymakers to enjoy an extremely authentic stay.
