Nice but the way too small bed

The overall space was nice and clean however, the bed was so small no two normal size adults could honestly fit in that bed comfortably. I wound up having to sleep on the couch for two nights. We never had the opportunity to meet the owners due to our late arrival and subsequent departure on the day we left. The room was clean although the bathroom window area was quite dusty. I would definitely recommend this place. However, again if you are staying alone, it would’ve been perfect but for two full size adults, the bed was just way too small :-)

Very Responsive Owners

The place was great and the owners were very responsive. We had a small issue with the renters in the property that shared the yard with this property, but the owners were very responsive and worked quickly to resolve it. The place was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a weekend away in Tucson. We'd stay here or in one of their other properties again.

Pick this one!

Super host doesn’t begin to express Taylor and Yuko. The Casita was charming and met all our needs, as well as our dogs. I can’t begin to thank Taylor for being right there when the internet had a glitch. We would definitely stay again! Thank you Betz & Michael

Great studio apartment for a couple with two little dogs.

We found this apartment very clean and comfortable. The towels and bed linens were very good quality. The apartment was sufficiently equipped to take care of all of our needs. We found the neighborhood very quiet even on New Years Eve. The customer service was outstanding. For example we were low on propane for the BBQ and Taylor delivered another tank on Christmas Day! We will definitely stay with Taylor and Yuko at a future visit to Tucson.

Beautiful

Could not be home for Christmas. But this property made me feel like I was at home. Taylor and his wife are very accommodating and very helpful and definitely filled with the Christmas spirit. they made my otherwise dreadful Christmas all the more tolerable the way they decorated this lovely property up! Would recommend this to anyone who is in the area, as it is centrally Located to everything

Sweet Getaway Casita

Nice open-concept casita tucked in a great neighborhood close to downtown Tucson, UofA, and nearby attractions. It is perfectly sized for a solo-traveler or couple (bed is a large single/full), Pet-friendly, and stocked with all the basics. Main backyard/courtyard is shared with the main house, but there is a private separate backyard available for more privacy if desired. Onsite washer/dryer shared with the main house renters is a nice plus for those longer stays. Owners are very attentive and ready to meet all your needs. My pups and I throughly enjoyed our stay here. Thanks so much Taylor & Yuko!!! Gratefully, Gail & the Littles

Quaint dog friendly spot with quick access to city!

Myself, partner, and Great Dane enjoyed our week long stay at the casita in early January! They allowed us to check in a little early and we used a lock box to check in, easy! The place has a flat long drive way that we could almost fit our 38ft Class A motor home in! We RV full time and needed to put the rig in the shop for a week. The house was well equipped so we could work (great wifi), cook, do laundry, and relax. The property managers were very easy to get a hold of and answered within minutes. They even came and fixed the tv remote for us! We felt comfortable and relaxed! Keep in mind that this casita shares the property with a home. While we stayed, there was no one in the larger home which was nice so the owners let us use the bigger yard for our dog. The Casitas yard is very small but pretty private. So just something to know that you could share the driveway with other guest and the casita and main home are pretty close. All in all we were thankful to find a clean, safe space to stay for a week with our huge Great Dane! Thank you!!

Long stay

This is a guest house with a small enclosed yard, however there is not a door from the house to the yard, you must go through the main house backyard to get to the guest house yard. The place is okay for a short stay, but there was not another option available at the time, so we stayed a month. The price was high, 4k for a month, and it is a one room place with small separate bathroom. Bed is a Murphy bed, small and low to the ground, uncomfortable. Bathroom is small, shower head is low, made for a short stature person. Furniture was cheap and not comfortable. There is a large mesquite tree in the driveway that will cover you car with its little leaves. Yard is full of gravel and cactus with an aggressive dog next door that barks and growls everytime you walk outside. Nice park close by, but have to watch out for the homeless camp across the street from park. Tile floors were nice. Hosts were responsive. I think it would be fine for a short stay, but it is expensive.

Disappointed

Pee stains on the toilet when I got there. Made me realize other areas need cleaning, and have so I cleaned the areas myself (in the time of coronavirus). Listing is misleading because the backyard is for the owners, not for the guests (plus they have a dog who might bite you if you try and go outside). Complete lack of privacy because owners are often at the backyard and most of the blinds are for the backyard. That means the blinds have to stay shut so that the owners don't see you. Owners can hear everything hoing on inside the guesthouse, and the guest can hear the owners very loudly in the backyard. Owners were loud by thw guest house, and have woke me up talking on the phone. Moaing the lawn, talking loudly ect.. I had to accept the fact that even phone conversations or anything I do is being heard by the owners when they are outside. Felt really uncomfortable.

Nice! Clean! Fantastic Super Host!

I visited Tucson for my UofA college student back in August and now every time I plan my trip back, I book with Taylor and Yuko. This home was clean, convenient to the university, perfect for one or two, has everything you will ever need, but most of all the hosts are amazing! Quick to respond, quick to accommodate and a pleasure to rent from. In February of this year I stayed at another rental of this super host and I was not disappointed. Now I have friends in Tucson that I can reach out too everytime I need a home. 5 ⭐️

Very nice spacious casita - would be perfect with a wider bed!

My husband and I were very happy with the condition of the casita, its location, and the inviting patio area that was great to come home to during our days of sightseeing. However the listing was somewhat misleading when it said it would sleep 2 to 4 with a twin/single . murphy bed. The murphy bed is rather narrow for 2 adults, and there is no other bed. Although the sectional is large and very comfortable for seating, it made for a very uncomfortable night's sleep. Thankfully, Taylor brought a comfy cot over when we requested it for our final two nights.

A lovely neighorhood retreat in Tucson

This was our first time renting through VRBO. As we searched through the properties available we found this place. We came to Tucson for a month. Specifically to visit our daughter who has lived in Tucson for the past 6 years and secondly to escape the winter in Chicago. All I can say in that our every expectation was more than met. Taylor, the owner, was receptive to our needs. The place was exceptionally clean. We were made to feel at home. I would recommend this location as a place to stay without reservation.

Comfortable and convenient!

We loved our stay in Tucson! Taylor and Yuko are so friendly and helpful. Our casita was clean, quiet and so centrally Iocated. Great coffee and Korean restaurant close by! I packed lightly thinking we would have a washer and dryer but there wasn’t either. Otherwise the casita had everything we hoped it would and more!

Taylor - I'm originally from Oxford Pennsylvania though Arizona has been my home since 1997 and I absolutely love it! Cooking, gardening and reading are just a few of my favorite things to do in my spare time. I love to travel and am very friendly and personable and enjoy meeting new people from all over the United States and beyond. With that said, hosting is something I enjoy very much :)

Why they chose this property

We absolutely LOVE the neighborhood. You can't get any more centrally located to EVERYTHING to do in Tucson ! Close to U OF A, hiking golf, great restaurants, parks, botanical gardens, malls, downtown entertainment etc, while located in a well established quiet neighborhood that was built out in 1940's.
