About this property
Seaview Cottage Barmouth
This lovely three-storey, stone-built cottage sitting on the edge of Snowdonia National Park sleeps four people across two bedrooms – making it the perfect retreat for small families or groups of friends in search of a period cottage to call home while they explore the Welsh coastline together. Take the footpath opposite for a 5 minute walk to the expansive Barmouth Beach, where you can enjoy a stroll and take in the amazing panoramic views of Cardigan Bay. Alternatively, hike along the scenic Panorama Walk (3 miles), which offers breathtaking views of Barmouth, the estuary and surrounding hills. It’s perfect for hikers who are also into photography. Make your way to this delightful historic cottage from your private parking space.
Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a charming open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner featuring characterful stone walls, an inglenook stone fireplace and lovely sea views. Make yourself at home on the comfortable sofa and soak up the period ambience before heading to the traditional kitchen area to cook some dinner. Gather everyone together to eat at the elegant dining table, and then head back to the lounge area and warm your toes by the wood burner. At the end of the day, there are two pretty bedrooms to choose from - a king-size with sea views on the first floor, and up the narrow staircase to the second floor, a spacious attic room that has a double and two singles. Completing the layout is a generous family bathroom on the first floor that’s equipped with a walk-in shower and a freestanding roll-top bath.
Head outside and take in the sea views from the tiered garden, which features an enclosed area for dogs, a charcoal BBQ and an upper patio with seating for al fresco dining. The upper patio boasts superb sea views.
