Setting off for a seaside break is splendidly easy when you book a stay at Butlin’s Caravan Village; a Lincolnshire holiday park right by the beach in Ingoldmells and just a couple of miles along the coast from Skegness. Come along here and you’ll be staying in a top-notch caravan by the name of Sophia, who lives in a quiet corner of the holiday park known as The Dunes. It’s a particularly good location because it gives guests the choice of spending some peaceful time on the deck (perhaps a drink at sunset?) or crossing over to the main resort and throwing themselves into all the action. And what action it is… facilities including restaurants, bars, arcades, the traditional fairground and the huge waterpark full of waterslides and rapids to swoosh down. There’s also a good collection of kids’ activities throughout high season – mini archery, sand art and football sessions are just some of the options. Also included is access to a full programme of shows – depending on the day, you may get comedy shows, circus performances or musicals evenings. On top of all that, for a small extra charge you can try bowling, adventure golf, go-karting, pottery painting, laser tag… With all this to fill your days, it’s good to know you’ll have to make very little effort on the accommodation front – your caravan has three bedrooms , heating, wifi and a fully fitted kitchen for easy meals/snacks on those days when you don’t fancy eating out.
