About this property
Secluded Countryside Retreat. Pet Friendly stays at The Old Workhouse Paddocks
The Old Workhouse Paddocks is a stunning two-bed detached converted tractor barn, with beautiful beams, charming features, pamment tile flooring and traditional decor throughout.
Suitable for 5 guests & their pets.
(We have no restriction on the number, size or breed of dogs)
Located and situated a short drive from the beautiful city of Norwich (and even closer to the market towns of Dereham and Fakenham) you are only a small drive (20-45 mins) to any number of beaches on the Norfolk coast, or inland to the famous Norfolk Broads……within minutes you can find yourself in the market town of Reepham, eating a fresh Cromer crab on the pier, visiting the grey seals at Blakeney or grabbing traditional fish & chips at Wells Next-the-Sea.
Norwich, the stunning North Norfolk coast & the Norfolk Broads are ideal destinations for families, friends or a couples romantic getaway. There is also several National Trust properties and English Heritage sites nearby to discover and explore.
The space
Located on the edge of the rural village of Bawdeswell the Old Workhouse Paddocks offer extensive outdoor space for you, your dogs and even your horses in the stunning onsite stables.
We have no neighbours nearby so you don’t have to worry about making a noise, or being disturbed.
A village shop, large garden centre with cafe and award winning restaurants are all within a few minutes.
The outdoor space offers 3.5 acres of secure stock fenced paddocks, wildflower meadow, and outdoor patio with BBQ and seating area (with overhead heating for those cooler months) to take in the fresh Norfolk air and do some undisturbed star gazing.
Indoors - underfloor heating, welcomes you to the open plan modern kitchen, living, dining & reading area. Modern appliances, internet Smart TV’s and super fast wifi are throughout for those evenings where you just want to stay in and relax after a long day out exploring.
We have an upstairs and downstairs living area and bedroom - so our space is perfect for two couples, families with children, and groups of friends.
Two bedrooms allowing for 4 guests (with space for a 5th person on a pull out bed in the upstairs living area if needed), a wet room style family bathroom and an upstairs living room space with patio doors leading to an open balcony - allowing you to take in the unrestricted view over the paddocks, stables, meadow and for miles around
(Please note: We have no restriction on the number, size or breed of dogs at our place - Vrbo make you put in a size restriction when uploading your profile on their platform - but please rest assured we do no have restrictions)
