This Charming Lakeside Cottage is nestled in the cozy community of Swansea Point, Mara Lake, and is only steps away from the public beach and boat launch. Upon entry you are instantly welcomed by a bright open living space, kitchen and dining area, and it is beautifully decorated throughout with warm lakeside décor. You will definitely enjoy the secluded outdoor deck, where guests can enjoy lounging, dining, and cooking up a meal on the BBQ.

Curl up on the couch in front of the fire place. Grab a book, Magazine, play a board game or watch a movie. This is all provided for our Guests' entertainment while you are on your vacation. This cottage is truly a home away from home!
This home's TV is set up with Chromecast. Guests download the Chromecast app and connect to the TV. Your device acts as your remote.

Our Lakeside Bedroom offers a queen bed and large window overlooking the front yard.
The Mountain Side Bedroom offers bunk beds with double on the bottom and single on top, and features an on suite half bath. The Kitchen has everything needed to prepare any meal. Laundry? No problem, we have you covered there as well!

FALL is a gorgeous time of year for hikers, bikers, easy strollers and those who like a more quiet setting to relax and enjoy the outdoors.

This property is located half way between Revelstoke Mountain Resort and Silver Star in Vernon. Guests have the ability to visit multiple Ski Resorts!
SPRING is the perfect setting for that Golf trip you have always been wanting to take! Golfing, hiking and biking are activities that bring our guests to the region in spring time.

Convenient hub

Enjoyed staying at this property which was close to an event we were attending. It was nice to walk along the beach when we were finished our event. Quiet and peaceful. Looked like a nice place to stay on a summer day especially.

Great Location

This lakeside cabin was located very close to beautiful beach. We didn’t use beach since we were with family located in a beachfront house. The house was very well stocked with everything a person could need on vacation. We’d definitely stay here again, we were very comfortable.

Relaxing vacation home

What a comfortable, cozy cabin! We had a wonderful, relaxing weekend with time on the beach, swimming in the lake and reading on the back deck.

Quiet Relaxing Spot

We enjoyed the quiet and friendly atmosphere of the area . The house is fully equipped with everything you need, plenty of movies, books and games to keep you entertained. Beautiful water and beach across the road.

Great Escape

Made this location a good starting point for some great snowmobiling around the Sicamous area. Very comfortable, quiet and just under 10 min from town. Thank you!

Nice place and area to stay!

We really liked the place. It is cute and private and has a lot of room. It is stocked with everything you could ever need. Check in and check out was seamless. Thought it a little odd that they asked me to start laundry. I did and all is good. I would stay again.

The cottage was perfect for our Family. Close to the beach, great indoor and outdoor space for lounging, reading and having our meals outside. Friendly neighbors. Everything thing we needed was provided at the cottage.

2 Seniors’ 10 Days at Swansea Point

First impressions were good. We were disappointed to see that the front deck [pictured], had not been cleared of debris or sticky residue from overhanging trees. Similarly, the rear deck had not been cleared either. Pads and cushions for the outdoor furniture had been stored away somewhere. Likely in the garage. We did not use any. Except for access to the rental unit and the back yard grill, we did not use either deck. As soon as we entered the rental unit, there was an over-powering smell of cannabis. We called the unit’s manager who assured us that she was not aware of the smell and that it could not have originated in the unit. Still we, and friends who came to visit, noticed the odour throughout our stay. The tap water had such a strong odour [likely H2S dissolved gas] that we did not drink it. When we called the unit’s manager to inquire, she advised that: “We drink it.” Thankfully, there was bottled water available. We were later advised that the homes and cottages on Swansea Point do not have access to “city” water. We looked into it further to discover that the water for all units on Swansea point is untreated water sourced from a deep well. The interior of the rental unit is immensely packed with the owner’s belongings. Hundreds of aged DVDs. Countless books. Nickknacks of every description adorned the furniture [pillows] shelves, tables and counters. Just too much “stuff”. The kitchen was no exception. Every drawer seemed to be stock full. 20 or 30 bread knives? Same for spoons and forks. Pots and pans aplenty. Overwhelming. The instructions for accessing the internet for the TV persuaded us not to use the TV at all. The unit has two bedrooms. We used only the “master” bedroom. Sleep was quite uncomfortable since the owner had place a rubber sheet directly under the bottom, cotton sheet. It was quite hot during our stay with daytime temperatures in the mid- to high 30s. Thankfully, the rental unit had one 18” reciprocal fan [although its base was broken]. The propane grill in the rear yard is on its last days. The heating elements are severely corroded and the grill temperatures are not consistent. We did use the grill on two occasions. The fridge door does not close on itself. And when closed, it opens on its own when the freezer compartment is opened. The WiFi was consistent but slower than that to which we are accustomed. Overall Value of Swansea Point, Property ID 1174023; 2 of 5 stars.

Private, affordable getaway with everything you need

Had a great time, close to amazing golf courses, hardly had to pack, was perfect for a quick weekend getaway with some friends. Would be happy to stay again in the future.

Lovely cottage

Lovely cottage very well equipped with almost everything. Not waterfront but close to the beach. Quiet area. The water from the taps has an odour so if you’re not used to it, bring your own water or ensure they have a water dispenser in place.

Cozy house in great location

Stayed for a few days in this lovely decorated house. The kitchen is well equipped, the kids really liked the bunk bed and there were also coloring pencils and games available. The location is fantastic with just steps away from the beach. The only item to note is that the queen bed mattress was too soft for our taste. Overall, we enjoyed the house for our stay.

Just as advertised, super comfort and convenience!

Great property andd very pleasant stay! Definately a future prospect for a longer stay. All the comforts of home and very considerate of small things to ensure convenient amenities (such as essential caffiene, hair dryer and extra blankets and more). Would love to bring the family back for a longer stay!

Very clean and well stocked. Location was wonderful. Only issue that I must mention.. the tap water was truly disgusting and certainly undrinkable. Smelled like sewage. The first shower I took I nearly threw up and came out smelling like the water. We didn't shower the remainder of our stay. Host said she was looking into it but I recommend you bring your own drinking water.

Cozy cabin

This little cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were a little cramped with 4 adults but we were able to use the couch. Lots of games, dvds and books. Excellent location. Danielle was awesome to work with! Thank you!
