About this property
Cherry Tree Cottage - Langthwaite
An enviable destination for hikers, cyclists and anyone seeking outdoor adventure, this charming stone cottage offers accommodation for four guests in the peaceful hamlet of Langthwaite, surrounded by stunning natural beauty. Visit Swaledale (3.2 miles) one of the most northerly dales and perhaps the wildest, most unspoilt scenery in the National Park also close by is the undeniably appealing Wensleydale (15 miles), an area renowned for its rolling fields, babbling brooks and, most importantly, its local cheese. Explore Leyburn (2 miles), the River Ure (3 miles), and the Wensley Waterfall (3 miles). Follow the river route to Aysgarth (9.5 miles) on the edge of the National Park and enjoy a leisurely walk to the magnificent Aysgarth Falls. Discover other local attractions such as Jervaulx Abbey (7.5 miles), The Forbidden Corner (6.5 miles), and the market town of Richmond (7 miles), or take a short drive to explore the Nidderdale Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (23 miles).
With its traditional stone façade, this quintessential Yorkshire cottage blends seamlessly into its village setting and welcomes you with warmth and character. Sit beneath the wooden beamed ceiling in the lounge/diner, letting the wood burner at one side keep you snuggly and warm whilst relaxing on the sofa or sitting up at the dining table. The kitchen is just next door, offering a compact yet fully functional space to rustle up delicious dinners. Climb to the second floor, and find two inviting double bedrooms and a light, well-designed shower room with a separate WC.
While there’s no garden, care has been taken to ensure you have space to enjoy the outdoors. A small patio section at the side of the property has been furnished with a table and chairs, allowing you to sit and sip a coffee whilst appreciating the tranquillity of the hamlet.
