Moot Green House, Aldeburgh
This elegant holiday home is in a wonderful location with uninterrupted seascape views from the first floor living room and parking close by. Interiors are stylish throughout with indoor/outdoor living between the well-equipped kitchen/dining room and the charming garden. Accommodation is in three ground floor bedrooms with a king, twin, and single beds, a family bathroom, shower room and a fourth double bedroom on a split level.

The entrance to this spacious holiday home is off Moot Green.
At the front of the house is the light and airy kitchen with dining table by the double doors in the bay; the master bedroom which also has double doors to the garden and the single with sea views and desk for those needing to do a spot of work! The second twin, bathroom and shower room are also off the hall on the ground floor.
Stairs rise to the double bedroom off a half landing and onwards to the gorgeous living room with great views over the beach to the horizon to the east and the boating pond and Moot Hall to the north.
Running between the house and Crag Path is a large east facing patio style garden; simply a gorgeous place to relax and enjoy the sea air, surrounded by sea holly and whispering grasses.

KITCHEN/DINING ROOM
Enjoy indoor/outdoor living in this smart colourful and well-equipped kitchen where doors open onto the patio for al-fresco dining. Units wrap around three walls, housing a waist height Neff double oven, microwave, dishwasher, four ring gas hob, five shelf fridge, three drawer freezer and a Nespresso machine.
The sociable central island has bar stools so you can sit and chat to the chef in the family or prepare meals to enjoy at the sleek extendable dining table has ten bentwood chairs
SINGLE BEDROOM/STUDY
Furnished with a single bed, drawers and a wardrobe for your belongings if being used as a bedroom, and a dressing table/desk under the window for those who need to do a spot of studying or work. Shelves are stacked with books and magazines.
MAIN BEDROOM
Sleep to the sounds of the sea in this beautiful bright bedroom which has double doors and steps down to the garden where you can enjoy your morning coffee in the sea air. Bedside units sit beside the the king size bed and there’s plenty of storage in built-in cupboards with shelves and drawers.
TWIN BEDROOM
Off the inner hall, this room with high window on the Crabbe Street side of the house is a good size and has twin beds with a large chest of drawers between them and a wardrobe with bags of hanging space.
SHOWER ROOM
Sitting between the twin and main bedrooms, this modern shower room has mosaic tiles, a shower cubicle with rain and hand-held shower heads, WC, wash basin and heated towel rail.
BATHROOM
Well-positioned for all bedrooms. Natural light comes through a high window into this room which has a bath, washbasin, WC and heated towel rail.
UTILITY ROOM
Very handy after your morning swim in the sea! Fitted with a washing machine, dryer and hanging rail.
DOUBLE BEDROOM
Located up three steps and a half-landing rising towards the living room, with a window overlooking Crabbe Street. This blue room has a handsome roll top double bed with bedside tables, an old school desk, wardrobe, chest of drawers, chair and blanket box.
FIRST FLOOR LIVING ROOM
Wide carpeted stairs, with handrails on both sides, rise from the half landing to another landing where there's a chair invites you to stop and enjoy the views of the boating pond, Moot Hall, and the shingle beach stretching towards Thorpeness.
Three more stairs take you to the living room with some of the best views in Aldeburgh. To the east the bay window looks over the garden and beach to the sea, and sash windows give a wonderful view up the coast to the north. This stylish and comfortable room has two generous leather sofas so you can enjoy a roaring fire in winter months in the attractive fireplace and/or watch the Smart TV which has Freeview channels. A retro desk and chair sit in the corner, with bookcases are heaving with novels and reference books.
OUTSIDE
Parking is available on roads close by; directly outside the house is restricted but convenient for a couple of hours or overnight, and there’s unrestricted parking near the White Lion Hotel just a few minutes walk away.
The south-facing patio style garden runs along the front of the house with views of the sea and Moot Hall is simply a gorgeous place to relax and enjoy the sea air, surrounded by sea holly and whispering grasses. A table with a couple of benches and two carvers give you a choice of places to sit.
The garden is divided into two with the upper section used by the neighbouring property. This holiday home occupies the whole of the ground floor and a section of the first floor of an impressive Edwardian terraced house sandwiched between Crabbe Street and Crag Path, overlooking Moot Green where children can enjoy the simple pleasures of the boating pond.
The entrance is through a gate off Moot Green on the path between Crag Path and Crabbe Street and a path leads round to the garden, with double doors from both the kitchen and the double bedroom on the ground floor, plus the front door at the side.
Note – The property is reasonably well suited to guests with a mobility issue thanks to wider than standard doors, three ground floor bedrooms and a ground floor shower room. There’s a ramp for easy access to the front door too but the living room is on the first floor.
Kitchen surfaces – Please do not put hot plates, pans etc. on the kitchen surfaces, they are resin and will mark/burn. Trivets are provided for you to use and please be sure to use a chopping board for cutting veg etc.
Garden – The garden is split between this property and the property upstairs with our guests having access to the bottom half so please respect the neighbours and do not trespass. Enjoy the fresh air and sea breezes.
The property does not allow smoking or unaccompanied teenagers under any circumstances.
Hopefully you’ll have a breakage-free holiday but, if you do break, damage or lose something, or if you spot a maintenance problem, please contact Stay in Suffolk and we will do our best to resolve it for you. Nothing hot on the central island in the kitchen as it will burn the surface, or the table.
