Inside, the barge is warm and inviting. The layout features a cosy bedroom at one end, with a comfortable living room and fully-equipped kitchen at the other. You enter the boat through the wheelhouse, a spacious and light-filled area with stunning views over the river. The wheelhouse can be used as a dining space, a spot to enjoy your morning coffee, or simply a place to relax and take in the peaceful surroundings.
The bathroom is fully equipped with a shower and features a Simploo waterless compost toilet—very clean, odorless, and eco-friendly.
Heating is provided by a multi-fuel wood burner, which creates a wonderfully cosy atmosphere once it’s going. It’s easy to light, with instructions provided, and a demonstration is available at check-in if needed. A generous supply of wood and coal will be on hand to keep you warm throughout your stay.
