Located in the peaceful village of Wark, 3 Elliot Terrace is a dog friendly unique property perfect for couples or solo travellers.
Although recently renovated with modern appliances the property has retained its traditional character and charm. The owners have carefully designed the interiors with key pieces from local auction houses which are in keeping with the cottage's local area and original features. If you are looking to enjoy the beauty that Northumberland has to offer, look no further than 3 Elliot Terrace.
The Space:
The living room at 3 Elliott Terrace is a cosy, yet spacious area with a traditional log-burning fireplace, and a comfy red sofa. The space also has a dining area with a 4-seater wooden table giving you plenty of space to enjoy your meals.
The kitchen is modern and light. The mint green cupboards and wooden worktops really stand out, whilst the modern appliances make it easy for you to whip up meals in between exploring stunning Northumberland.
You will be able to make the most of the garden space during your stay. Directly accessible from the kitchen, it has both a grassed and paved area, ideal for basking in the sun during the summer months.
The bathroom is also downstairs and it is a very pleasant space, perfect for a relaxing bath. With a bathtub, wash basin, and a WC, the bathroom is airy and bright.
Head upstairs and you’ll find the bedroom which is a large and well-organised space. It has a traditional wooden chest of drawers which provides excellent storage space for your belongings. The interior is boldly coloured with a mustard yellow soft furnishings that gives the space a fresh, vibrant and inviting feel.
Guest Access:
Guests have access to the full property. The keys to the property can be accessed via a secure key safe.
Free on-street parking is available outside the property on a first come, first served basis.
The Neighborhood:
The village of Wark stands on the west bank of the River North Tyne, some ten miles north-west of Hexham and five miles south of Bellingham.
Wark is a remarkably attractive village, home to independently run shops, a post office and the award-winning Battlesteads Restaurant.
There are a number of beautiful walking routes nearby such as Kielder Forest and the North Tyne Paths, whilst Hadrians Wall can also be accessed nearby.
You’ll also find a local observatory close by, and the village itself is within the ‘Dark Skies Northumberland’ area.
Getting Around:
The nearby town of Hexham is roughly a 20-minute drive from Wark. Hexham has plenty of bus routes including trips to Newcastle and the Metro Centre. There is a bus stop in Wark which travels through to Hexham so you can get there easily.
The nearest train station is Hexham which has routes from Newcastle, Carlisle and Sunderland.
