Rest and recharge when you choose this romantic pink gatehouse located in the historic Kimberley Hall Estate, Norfolk, an enchanting location from which to explore the River Tiffey and its hidden gem of a trail, nestled just 400 metres from the holiday home. Drink in the views of the majestic oaks and rolling parkland as you make your way along the Tiffey Trail to Wymondham and beyond. Ramblers may also seek out the Wymondham Abbey Trail (3 miles), a 1-mile circular route that weaves along medieval streets. Remember to look out for barn owls and turtle doves as you go. Guests will find many traditional towns and villages to explore, including Wymondham (3.5 miles) with its picturesque marketplace, shops and magnificent abbey founded in 1107. Alternatively, drive to the city of Norwich (9 miles) to experience the famous foodie, artistic and extensive cultural scene.
A dusky pink facade awaits as you approach the gatehouse via the private drive. Its fully-equipped kitchen has plenty of worktop space and a breakfast bar; or dine in the domed ceiling sitting room. Large arched windows offer plenty of light and the velvet ‘Loaf’ sofa folds out into a sofa bed for 2 extra guests. Adjacent to the Smart TV is a cosy LED log effect burner which is perfect for unwinding in front of after a day’s sightseeing or walking. The super-king-size bedroom has a large custom-made headboard and extremely comfortable mattress to retreat in with a book or gaze directly through the arched window. Start each day relaxed and rejuvenated by soaking up the views in a bubbly bath in the nature-inspired bathroom.
This holiday home has an enclosed private garden with outdoor seating to enjoy the spectacular landscape. Spot frolicking Roe and Muntjac deer as you sip your morning coffee, or stroll along the private drive following the path past the house and veteran oaks towards the river. The outside space is perfect for sundown cocktails in the western sunshine or for striking up the BBQ and gathering around the table and chairs. There is private parking for one to two cars.
