About this property
North Devon Countryside Escape. Dog friendly with views, large garden & paddock.
Nestled on the hillside with sweeping views of the Mole Valley, Widehay Barn is a bright & spacious holiday home that was once a traditional field barn. Featuring three en-suite bedrooms and sitting within an acre of enclosed lawned garden offering plenty of space for children to play whilst adults relax & enjoy the panoramic views to Exmoor and beyond. The charming award winning market town of South Molton is just 4 miles away and the beautiful North Devon beaches are under an hour's drive away. SAVE DIRECT.
The open-plan living, kitchen and dining area is perfect for cooking and spending time together, complete with a cozy woodburning stove available from October to April. On the ground floor, you’ll find a king size bedroom with an en-suite shower room, as well as a family bathroom featuring a luxurious clawfoot tub. Upstairs, there are two additional bedrooms: a spacious master with a 5-foot double bed and a twin room, each with its own en-suite shower room.
The barn is surrounded by a large garden with outdoor furniture (and an optional hot tub) along with an enclosed paddock area for your enjoyment.
Guests have exclusive use to the barn, garden and the paddock, which can be reached through a five-bar gate from the garden. The paddock is available for use when no animals are grazing.
If bringing a dog, please ensure they stay out of fields with grazing animals.
Mariansleigh is a small rural hamlet, with narrow lanes that have little traffic on them. There are many footpaths that are well waymarked and make good country walking. It is very dark at night.
There is a pretty church and churchyard that are worth exploring.
The woodburning stove is available to use from October to April. Please use seasoned firewood and kindling only (please follow instructions in the manual).
OPTIONAL HOT TUB HIRE
We are pleased to offer our guests the option of hiring an inflatable hot tub for an additional fee of £200 for short stays and £250 for the week. The hot tub would be set up and heated ready for your arrival. Pre-booking is required and we will add this to your booking.
