About this property

A holiday cottage that sleeps 4 guests in 2 bedrooms

Langness Lighthouse Cottages are the ultimate self-catering accommodation. Beautifully restored, they are situated on Langness peninsula at the southernmost point of the Isle of Man, these cottages are the perfect getaway to escape and immerse yourself in nature.

Langness is an area of special scientific interest (ASSI) and officially recognised by UNESCO as "one of the best places in the world to explore nature", famous for diverse bird and marine-life. From these idyllic cottages your only neighbours will be Basking sharks, dolphins, Minke whales and families of seals.

The West Cottage is full of charm and sleeps four people across two bedrooms - one king and one twin. The cosy living room features a gorgeous log burner and a dining table, making it the perfect room to come together as a group and watch as the waves crash over the rocks. Langness offers the ultimate sea view in all weathers. The galley style kitchen contains homely, high quality features, such as a Belfast sink and vaulted ceilings. The authentic features continue into the bedrooms, where guests can find traditional wooden floors and high quality furniture.

Langness Lighthouse Cottages are just a 5 minute drive from Ronaldsway Airport or a 20 minute drive from Douglas Steam Packet Company ferry terminal.

The Isle of Man has the largest concentration of dark sky sites in the British Isles and some of the clearest skies in Europe. One of the sites is very local to Langness, located on Fort Island a short drive away. For those who enjoy golf, nearby is the world-renowned Castletown Golf Links, a championship links course. Book your tee time on their website!

Castletown is the nearest town, and it's full of history! Explore Castle Rushen or The Old House of Keys to learn about the Isle of Man's storied past. Castletown also offers restaurants and pubs, serving fresh food and local ales.

90/100. Michael from Onchan.

A truly wonderful family retreat for the week with the pooch. Sunny as well. Lovely atmosphere in the cottage with everything where you would expect it to be (spare rugs , welcoming bread, milk, cheese and butter). Went out every lunch but otherwise took advantage of the remoteness and the peace and quiet. A staycation, just loved it, returned refreshed.

Stunning location but not as remote as you think

Amazing location with stunning views and fabulous wildlife - we especially enjoyed watching the seals. The cottage was really comfortable (warm and loads of hot water), really clean and comfortable beds. Milk, cheese, butter and bread, tea and coffee all included in a lovely welcome pack. The lighthouse is at the end of a long narrow road in an area that is really popular with lots of dog walkers which I expect could get quite busy in summer. It's a shame the glass in the lounge window had blown as it would have been nice to have seen the views of the sea whilst sat eating dinner. All in all a lovely holiday. We are regular visitors to the IOM and would definitely use Island Escapes again - their info app is genius
