About this property
Smugglers Heritage Cottage very central Brighton
Nestled in one of Brighton's oldest central twitten lanes, Smugglers cottage is a unique heritage hideaway. Its less than a minute's stroll from the beach and has the best nightspots and restaurants all on it's doostep. The quirky design and higgledy piggledy layout of this 3 bedroom property make it a truly original place to stay. If you want to be in the centre of all the action then this is the place for you!
The charming Smugglers cottage is found in the heart of the old city, The South Lanes, and the property itself is steeped in history dating back to 1565.
The Lanes district is world famous for its boutiques; from the antique shops and jewellery quarter to the hippest fashion stores and record shops, not forgetting the award winning restaurants, old English pubs and party nightlife.
The three bedroom cottage comprises of a bijou lounge with a chair, a double sofa bed for groups larger than 6 people (please enquire), a dining table/desk area with 2 seats and an open plan micro kitchen which is equipped with everything you would need to enjoy your stay with us. Please note this is not a full kitchen, but with the best of Brighton's restaurants on your doorstep you really won't want to stay in to cook. To the rear there is a very small covered terrace, standing room only, and out here is also an exterior WC.
On the first floor there is a double bedroom with basin. Separate wet-room with 2 person showers, basin and WC, underfloor heating.
On the second floor a further two bedrooms, one with basin. These bedrooms have zip and link beds which can be arranged as twin rooms or king size doubles, just let us know how you'd like them arranged in advance.
Due to the age (and charm) of the property, all rooms are small and the doorways and staircases are unusually steep and narrow. Regrettably, no disabled access.
The immediate area WILL be quite noisy at weekends as pubs and bars are in the vicinity. We provide ear plugs for light sleepers.
