Very Roomy

I brought my family to BB, I chose Upper Moonridge on the website because it had 4 bedrooms listed with 3 bathrooms as we had 12 people in all in our group. We were very happy with everything about this house including the size and cleanliness. There was enough room to where everyone had their own space . The Backyard is also great for entertaining, with a bbq island, gas fire pit and jacuzzi. We will definitely stay here again.

Big house with Steep entrance but not very clean.

NICE house but only 3 stars because of cleaning Read till end. The entrance is a little hard going up. In the picture you can't see how steep it is in case you have bad knee or older person. The house is nice & big if you wanted to bring your whole family. Saw thru window. Nice back yard with fire pit, but you can't make outdoor fires. House is toward the end of the mountain but still close enough to big Bear shops. Now the reason I am upset & giving it 3 stars.Arrived late Fri, gone most Sat. Sat eve used Hot tub. Didn't see it until Sunday morning when I locking it up how dirty hot tub was and its rough. There was still a dirty sock and trash from previous guests on side but still okay, I had to wash all dishes we used after I found a couple of plates, glasses dirty and tongs with dried BBQ sauce on them, but I'm still okay I figured who ever put dishes back in cabinets didn't catch them. I still thought the house looked pretty clean.I will rent again. Until Sunday my son asks me if I had extra towels to shower because he had to used the clean towels to put over the pillows to sleep on and he had to switch rooms. He showed me one that was on the beds. It was a hard, old, yellow, brown spotted pillow. The bed was made up using this dirty pillow. This was so gross. Made me wonder about the rest of the bedding. This wasn't an accident. One thing is old & another filthy. I pd for cleaning it should not have been like this. The owner needs to GET NEW CLEANING SERV. Would've been 5

Great Family Cabin

We had our adult children and grandkids with us to celebrate my birthday. There was plenty of sleeping room for everyone and plenty to do with the game room, fire pit & jacuzzi. We did have a lot of fun and had a great time at the Grizzly Bear Lodge. It’s within a very short drive of the big Bear Zoo so we took the grandkids & had a lot of fun. The driveway is steep as others noted in there reviews, but you can also park in the garage. The only issue we had with this property was the bunk bed. It’s a bit unsteady so we didn’t use the upper bunk. The lower bunk was fine and the property manager was quick to respond & offered to send assistance. We didn’t require help, but feel that the bunk beds should have additional bracing. Other than the one bed we were very happy with our choice for this location. Thank you for sharing your space with us

Oh Em Gee!

Once you get past the 13% grade driveway, the cabin is absolutely stunning. The layout is awesome with the common areas separated from the bedrooms, perfect for those needing to rest while others are still awake. The outside area is beautifully done with a grassy area if pets are brought (which we didn't), a cute deck for sunbathing, a separated area for the hot tub, and a secluded fire pit area nestled in the back of the yard up a short walk. The kitchen was not equipped with foil or oven mitts which would be my only suggestion for the homeowner to add. I would also suggest adding in the rental description that the driveway is a steep grade as there is no street parking permitted and low clearance vehicles are unable to drive onto the driveway without scraping.

Much updating needed

The drive way is much steeper than shown in pic, it was snowing and our heavy duty dodge Dualy was sliding down. Also to enter the house required going up the stairs both from garage and front. Kitchen pots and pans and most utensils need to be replaced with new ones. Kitchen cabinets need a good scrub. Overall the inside can use a some new and updated items.
