About this property
Pond Lodge | Hot Tub Stay with Views & Log Burner
Summary:
Pond Lodge is a two-bedroom lakeside retreat with its own hot tub, log burner, private garden and big views across the water. It’s the original lodge at Little Horseshoe Lake - it's quiet, calm, and perfect for couples or small families. You’ll have access to wild swimming, fishing, kayaks, BBQ and walking trails around the estate. One small dog is welcome. Ideal for reconnecting - with nature, each other, or just yourself.
The Space:
🛏 Inside the lodge:
• Two bedrooms: one king, one twin or king
• Open-plan living area with lake views
• Cosy log burner and underfloor heating
• Fully equipped kitchen with Nespresso
• Smart TV, Bluetooth speaker, and fast Starlink WiFi
• Hotel-style bathroom with shower and bath
• Comfortable, design-led interiors throughout
Guest Access:
🌿 Outside:
• Private hot tub with open lake views
• Large enclosed garden and waterside decking
• Charcoal BBQ and outdoor dining setup
• Access to wild swimming (waiver required)
• Shared kayaks to use on the lake
• Carp fishing (for experienced anglers only)
• Peaceful trails around the 55-acre estate
The Neighborhood:
The neighbourhood is full of lakes which were originally gravel pits. They have matured into a wonderful parkland and offer many activities. South Cerney is a very old village with 2 pubs and a few small shops. It dates back to the 10th century.
Cirencester offers excellent shopping, markets and good cafes and restaurants, probably the best small museum in England and a magnificent Church.
Getting Around:
A car is ideal to make the most of the area, though the 51 bus route (Cheltenham to Swindon) runs nearby, and Kemble Station is just 7 miles away with fast trains to London. Taxis should be pre-booked.
Other Things to Note:
⚠️ Need to Know:
• Quiet hours from 10PM to 8AM
• No parties, no smoking indoors
🐾 Dog-friendly:
We welcome one well-behaved dog (for £20 fee)
🧒 Family policy:
To keep things safe, we welcome babes-in-arms and children aged 8+ who can confidently swim. No toddlers or young children.
