Offering modern, comfortable accommodation for up to four guests, this airy hideaway is perfect for walkers, nature spotters, railway enthusiasts and beach lovers discovering a popular corner of the magical North Yorkshire coastline. The thriving seaside resort of Whitby has a long history, and is known for its impressive harbour, picturesque beaches and the remains of the Gothic-style Whitby Abbey overlooking the town from the clifftops. Popular attractions in Whitby include the Dracula Experience, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum and the Cinder Track cycle trail leading south to Scarborough (20 miles). Exploring this idyllic stretch of the coast, highlights include Robin Hood’s Bay, Runswick Bay and Port Mulgrave, all within 10 miles. From the station opposite the cottage, you can take a trip by steam train out into the tranquil countryside of the North York Moors.
Entering this delightful cottage, the welcoming hallway leads you through to the bright and cheerful open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner, comfortably furnished with fantastic views from the lounge windows looking towards the Abbey, St Mary’s church and the boats in the harbour. The inviting lounge has plenty of soft seating and a Smart TV, with a sociable dining table over to the side. To the rear of the room, the stylishly arranged and fully equipped kitchen is perfect for rustling up all your favourite family meals. This floor also features a handy WC just off the hallway. Heading downstairs you will find two light and airy bedrooms. A spacious king size bedroom and cosy twin, alongside a refreshing shower room.
A door leads out from the king size bedroom onto a relaxing garden space, which has a small lawned area and patio with outdoor furniture, offering an ideal spot for you to sit back, dine alfresco and watch the steam trains pass by. Private parking space for one car.
