About this property

Esk Pullman Carriage

If you’re looking for a unique getaway surrounded by nature and outdoor adventure opportunities, then look no further than this charmingly converted Pullman Carriage. Perfect for small families or couples with up to two dogs in tow, enjoy the many coastal villages and walking trails that surround you, starting with the host seaside village of Revenglass, with its rich history waiting to be rediscovered. A mere 1.5-mile stroll leads you to Muncaster Castle, while just half a mile away, the Roman Bath House awaits your exploration. Wander along the picturesque coastline, uncovering sandy shores during low tide, for a delightful seaside adventure. Immerse yourself in the unique charm of the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, affectionately known as La’al Ratty. Embark on a scenic 7-mile journey from the heart of the fishing village into the breathtaking Eskdale Valley. For those with an adventurous spirit, the heart of Wasdale, home to England's highest mountain and deepest lake, beckons just 11 miles away. Here, the opportunity for wild swimming awaits, adding an exciting dimension to your holiday experience.
One of two Pullman Coaches located at Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway line, this exquisite railway carriage has been converted into a unique retreat, designed for an idyllic getaway. Compact, but with all the comforts needed for a relaxing stay, step into the charming lounge/diner, where you’ll find inviting seating, a crackling wood burner and a raised TV for cosy nights in. Here, you’ll also find the dining table, with ample space for all to enjoy the delights cooked in the well-equipped kitchen nearby. When day turns to night, find the two sumptuous bedrooms that await, a double master bedroom with an en-suite shower room, and a cosy twin that benefits from a well-appointed, separate shower room. For an additional, smaller guest, unfold a convenient Z bed in the lounge.
Outside, revel in the fenced sensory garden at the front and unwind in the fenced patio area with a picnic bench at the rear, surrounded by a communal garden. Enjoy the convenience of complimentary parking for one car, with an option to pre-book a second space.
