This impressive property is perfect for a family or friends to share a get-together or special celebration. Sleeping 10 guests across five bedrooms, the thoughtfully planned interior has masses of space to suit the needs of different generations. The farmhouse sits on the England/Wales border, 3 miles from picturesque Malpas, where you’ll find shops, traditional village pubs, a fine 14th century church, and the remains of a Norman castle. Explore the bustling market town of Whitchurch (7 miles) with its splendid medieval and Tudor buildings and see the magnificent gardens at 19th century Cholmondeley Castle (8.5 miles). For all-round family fun, Bewilderwood is a must, with a treetop Sky Maze, den building and storytelling stage, while Alderford Lake promises a wealth of outdoor activities, with scenic walking trails, water sports and an Aquapark. Both are within 9 miles. Carden Park Estate is nearby with its Championship Golf Courses, Outdoor Pursuits Centre and Luxury Spa facilities, great for groups and family activities during stay or for corporate team building stays.
The farmhouse is beautifully furnished and fitted in a contemporary style, with touches of luxury. A large hall with seating and pool table, leads to the spacious lounge where you can relax on comfortable sofas in rich jewel tones before the wood burner and watch TV. The heart of the house is a splendid open-plan kitchen with a breakfast bar and dining area which opens onto a large patio, perfect for outdoor dining. A snug with sofas offers a cosy retreat, while a small room with a desk provides work space. There’s a large ground-floor WC and a boot/utility room with another WC, ideal for cleaning muddy shoes and paws after a day in the countryside. Head upstairs to find five delightful bright and airy bedrooms, two with en-suites, and a family bathroom. One bedroom has a connecting door, ideal for young families, although this can also be locked.
Outside, the peaceful, 10-acre grounds are private and enclosed, with a secure, gated driveway, a fenced pond and ready-made football goals for children. The patio houses garden furniture, a firepit with a cooking rack and a hot tub, perfect for a luxurious soak. There is ample private off-road parking.
