About this property
A sunny, vintage villa with private sandy beach and breathtaking lake views
Lakeside Villa with a Private Shoreline on Lake Puruvesi
Nestled on a private peninsula, Fisherman’s Paradise offers three different shorelines, ensuring morning and evening sunshine. The property includes a main cabin, a sauna cabin, and an outdoor kitchen. Located in Kesälahti along Väärämäentie, the villa has neighbors, but they are not within sight. Pets are welcome. The rental period begins at 4:00 PM on the arrival day and ends at noon on the departure day.
Villa
This atmospheric log house, built in the 1960s, offers breathtaking lake views over Hummonselkä from the living room and the front terrace. The terrace is just a few meters from a private sandy beach.
The main building features:
- a bedroom, kitchen, living room, fireplace, toilet, and a wood-heated sauna
- bedroom has a 140 cm wide double bed, while the living room includes two fold-out sofa beds
- newly renovated kitchen is equipped for 6–10 people and features an induction stove
- dishwasher, microwave, and fridge-freezer
- tunning water in the main house
- clean tap water is drinkable
- a wood-burning sauna stove, hand-held shower,
- toilet and a small sink in the toilet
Sauna cottage
is a charming little building with bucket water. It has a wood-burning sauna, a wardrobe in the hallway, a small fireplace, a tiny kitchenette, 2 bunk beds, and electricity. There are two bunk beds side by side, the lower bed can accommodate two people and the upper bed one, making a total of six sleeping places.
Linen
Linen is mandatory. You can bring your linen or rent it from us. The linen package includes a sheet, duvet cover, pillowcase, bath towel, and hand towel. The linen is washed in a professional laundry, which follows a high standard of hygiene.
Outdoor Kitchen
A duckboard has been built from the villa house to the outdoor kitchen. It is a sheltered space with a dining area and space for preparing food. There is a wood-burning stove and two mangals. A mangal is a Russian shashlik grill for grilling skewers. You can burn wood or charcoal in a mangal.
Private beaches
There are three different beaches on our cape. One beach has a small pier and a rowing boat. The beach opens onto Mäntylahti, which has fine, white sand and as a child-friendly beach, deepens slowly. There is a fish handling place near this beach. The second beach is in front of the sauna cottage. The beach has round stones and deepens a little faster than the beach on the Mäntylahti side. We recommend swimming shoes. The third beach is in front of the villa. It is a truly wonderful sandy beach with very few stones. The beach opens onto Puruvesi's Hummonselkä.
Lake Puruvesi
Puruvesi is one of the clearest lakes in Finland. Its water quality is tested annually and has been found to meet the quality requirements for well water. When the waters start to cool after summer, the visibility can be over 10 meters. To protect the uniqueness of Puruvesi, an association called ProPuruvesi has been established.
