We had a great stay. The cabin is located on a very quiet and peaceful part of a beautiful lake. Kayaking and canoeing were great and fire pit each night made the day complete! Linda was a great host and fun to visit with.
We came up to ride ATV for a few days. This cabin was tucked in along the lake surrounded by trees and was very private. We thoroughly enjoyed our time sitting on the deck visiting, eating our meals and hearing the loons! It was so peaceful! Thanks again!
We had a great vacation at this cozy, quiet cabin. The cabin itself has everything you would need but food, and was clean, peaceful, private, and the perfect spot to get away from work and enjoy the outdoors. The lake is clear, the little beachfront and dock were great for swimming, with several small boats, paddle board, etc., available. Nevis was a fun town to enjoy as well, with good restaurants, some interesting shops, and a fun ice cream parlor. The owners were readily available, friendly, and helpful. We wouldn’t change a thing, and absolutely enjoyed our time in Minnesota!
We stayed for 4 nights . Great cabin, worked out beautifully for my wife and I. It was close to the water with nice dock to park my boat at. Gary was very helpful and answered any questions we had. Lake Belle Taine is a super clear lake. We enjoyed the lake and did some fishing . Also visited Nevis , Dorset, Park Rapids and Walker . Fun to check out the local town.
We traveled to the area to do some ATVing, location was perfect, trails readily accessible to travel anywhere. Cabin is right on the water, perfect for a group of 4. Very clean and host has everything you need to spend time in the water or on the beach. Great restaurants nearby, all within a 5-10min drive. Would recommend to anyone.
We love this place and keep coming back. Its definitely small but that just creates a cozy feeling. Linda and Gary have been nothing but great. The paddleboard and kayak are a very nice perk. We used them quite a bit. We had a couple of little mishaps this year, through no fault of theirs, and they were very responsive in rectifying those. Highly recommend as a family getaway!
Our stay was wonderful even though the weather didn't fully cooperate. Cupboards were stocked with nice dishes, linens, towels were plentiful and were very nice. No need to bring anything except your food. Outside was ready for relaxing either on the deck or right down on the shoreline. We caught sunfish and bass right from the dock. It was great and we hope to return next year! And their dog Ray is adorable.
Linda’s place is the perfect family getaway. Children will love playing and swimming on the private beach and our son caught nice sized bass from off the dock. The cabin has everything you need, as well as a fire pit to gather around in the evenings. We will be back!
Immensely enjoyed our 2nd stay at this property located on Lake Belle Taine. We had a very pleasant time fishing and enjoying the views of the lake. Lots of wildlife activity was seen during our stay, a nice highlight while we were out fishing was seeing a couple of bald eagles.
The owners were very responsive and helpful to any requests that we may have had during our stay. We are looking forward to our next trip here in the future.
Just a super cute little cabin. "Cozy" to be exact, which is exactly what we were looking for. Property owner was super accommodating with our dog that likes to explore. The dock and little beach are nicely tucked away on a beautiful lake. I'd wake up, fix some coffee, sit on the dock for a couple hours, just soak it all in. Honestly, our stay made me wish I could move up there.
The property is well suited for families. The beach is perfect to collect rocks and shell (snail shells) and to catch sun fish right off the dock. My grandchildren had a blast. There are plenty of toys for playing in the sand and a paddle board and kayaks for older ones. The cabin is clean and comfortable. It reminded me of my own lake days - no tv or internet. Lots of games for quality family time.
Immaculate cabin, property, and lake are all waiting for you! Linda has prepared everything you need. Kayaks, paddleboard, beach toys galore, coffee, towels/linens, firewood, grills, and so much more! Secluded and safe for doggy. Nevis, Dorset, Park Rapids, and Walker are all close, along with Evergreen Go Karts. The best part ~ paddling to the bridge and jumping!! Do not pass on this hidden gem. The only sounds you hear are nature and motorboats! No planes!! Book your Golden Ticket, now!! Skip the chain eatery nearby, and feast at the Mexican restaurant in Dorset!
Our boys (6 and 3) spent as much time as possible in, around, and on the water. The small beach was perfect for them to splash around and play. It was great to have so many water toys on site, such as a kayak. The location was also great for getting in the car for adventures to Itasca State Park and to see Paul Bunyan. The cabin is small, but we found it to be an effective and intimate size to house our family of 4. I'd definitely recommend this place for a good lakeside getaway!
This was our third year back in a row, which maybe tells all you need to know. It has become a bit of a family tradition to stay at this cabin. It has everything you could want - a little swim area for kids, good fishing (at least for kids looking for panfish), updated interior (while maintaining a cabin feel), convenient pontoon rental, and it even faces the sunset. The new paddleboard and kayak were fun to play on as well. It's on the agenda for next year if we can make it work!
This Lake Belle Taine cabin has become our go-to site when we need a calming Northwoods getaway with our dog. In fact, it's our dog's favorite place of all: with the cabin located on a point, she gets to run around and romp in the water all day without a leash. The waterfront, with its beach, dock, raft, canoe, and kayaks, is ideal, as is the view on this northwestern arm of the lake. With no development across the water, it looks like a scene near the Boundary Waters. The cabin is just the right size for a couple and a dog, and it's outfitted with everything you need. Linda and Gary are wonderful hosts. This was our second summer at the cabin, and we hope to return in coming summers.
This place is a great hidden gem! We booked last minute and owner was so responsive & helpful! The pictures don’t do it justice! Updates have been done and it’s so nice inside & outside! We stayed with our 4 & 6yr old and we didn’t want to leave! The beach area is sandy. The water is clear and shallow where you can wade in. There were kayaks, paddle boards and a canoe to use. We brought our own life jackets. Fishing off the dock was fun, my kids caught fish after fish! The cabin was very clean, well stocked with supplies. Owners live next door, but blocked by trees, very friendly and extremely helpful. There is a great fire pit, grill and cute deck area. Our dog also joined and was in heaven. We can’t wait to come back again and again!!!
Loved our long weekend at Linda’s and Gary’s cabin. Cabin was clean, cozy and sufficiently supplied. Although the outside could have used a good blowing off of spider webs before we got there. There is not a lot of storage for clothing so it would be a tight fit for any more than three adults. There’s is not a lot of natural light in the cabin and there is not much artificial lighting so we found it to be quite dark inside. But it was all about the dock and the lake for us. We spent most of our time decompressing on the dock reading, journaling, water color painting, playing guitar or playing fetch with our pup. We also brought our small fishing boat that we could launch from the property. The lake is really beautiful, very clear and mostly quiet. We should mention there is one friendly resident dog , but there seemed to be a few other visiting dogs that were free to roam the property. Worth mentioning if you aren’t comfortable with that.
I would recommend this to couples or a a family of three who want to spend most of their time outside.
This is our second time visiting this lovely property! The owners are so gracious and welcoming. The location is great and we loved swimming with our dogs.
We stayed in this adorable little cabin for 3 nights. We had everything we needed inside and out. The dock and beach area were perfect! The option to rent the pontoon was very much appreciated. Lila the dog was one of our favorite things! We got the biggest kick out of watching her fish. Linda and Gary are the perfect hosts; so friendly and helpful!! We’re hoping to make it back to this relaxing retreat!
